My wife has created seating areas in several sections of our porch. Each of the areas have a light fixture of some sort. We hung a chandelier above the main couch. A hi -hat light above the eating area and this beautiful lamp sits perfectly on a small table between two conversation chairs. This lamp was definitely designed for outdoor use. It has a heavy duty ample length power cord. The light switch has been protected from the elements with a nice heavy duty rubber cover to prevent water from entering the switch area. The shade that has been woven together from waterproof plastic strands to match our rattan chairs. The warm sepia glow adds an inviting tone to the area. This lamp is as tough as it is beautiful. The heavy weighted base helps to keep it upright when the wind blows. I was thinking about purchasing another for our annual “glamping” trip. I purchased this lamp.4 years ago. My house is on a hill in the country and it's on the front deck. It's abused by the wind, fallen over mire times than I can count! It's sturdy, durable, solid as a rock. Logged in to get another for the back. This lamp is money very well spent!
