Mixed feelings, I ordered the same thing twice, one for each heavy bag I have (65 and 100 lb). One was black and worked perfectly, one was silver and the bolts didn't fit through the holes. I drilled the holes out and hung my bag today. It's holding great so far and I've been whaling on the other bag for a month with no issues. I can't get this thing installed into my wall for some reason, but that is probably because I don't have power tools to install the giant bolts that come with this. Solid product, though!

Added a support piece of 2x6 in the attic and mounted this up with the included lag bolts and hung on a spring and its solid and no vibration with my 130lb heavy bag. Perfect solution!

The bracket and the D ring are fine, however the lag bolts provided are too big for the pre-drilled holes in the bracket. It was no big deal, I spent $2 at a hardware store and got bolts that fit, but it's still annoying. Also, since it's metal on metal, the D ring is pretty noisy when it rubs against the bracket, so I put a little piece of nylon fabric between it to soften it up a little bit it. After all those modifications I'm happy with it because it holds the bag well and has a low profile when not in use. ... show more

I used this to hang a 100-lb heavy bag in my garage. Pretty sure it's screwed to a 2x12 in the ceiling, which happens to be running parallel with another 2x12 right next to it for some engineering reason (they may be 2x10, don't really remember). I also installed a really thick layer of this foam material that I had laying around from something. With this and the 150-pound heavy bag spring, everything is really nice a quiet and solid! ... show more
