We redid our fireplace and after lots of measurements, this was the one that would fit best as we were converting from wood burning to electric. We had to do some modifications to the inside of the original fireplace as this insert wasn’t a perfect fit but that was of no fault of the insert…however it is worth noting to anyone who’s converting from wood burning to electric that you may have to do some modifications to make it fit perfectly. The color is vibrant and love the remote. Love the crackle sounds but only on the low volume settings. It does sound a bit popcorn when it’s on high volume. The heat it puts out is great and it does have a thermostat. Most likely won’t use it but great to have it if needed. Worth the wait but the shipping time was awful! Took nearly 10 days to receive this. ... show more

Would highly recommend this product. So easy to install, just get your measurements, order the correct size, lift it out of the box and slide it into the opening. The media could not be loaded. We were quoted $14,500 to rebuild fireplace after a $200 inspection so we decided on this. The heat is decent like any plug in heater and the sound sounds close enough to a real fire. The install was easy as I only had to lay dow two 2x4s at the base of the fire place to level it up and added a $15 piece of brick mould from home depot ... show more

We have only been using this item for several days. It was easy to install and fit almost like a glove in the size opening we have. The logs and fire look real from a short distance. The only downside is there is a reflection which is not too big of a deal, but you do see it. So far we are very happy with this product. We have not turned the heat on as of yet. We have it in a large room and don't expect much from it for heat. For the money it was a good buy. I plan to review at some point in the future when we have used the heat as well. ... show more

The thing about this unit vs others that i like so much is you can see the reflection of the flame flicker on the ceiling of the unit which adds to the realistic feel. The media could not be loaded. I bought this as an insert for a mantle I bought because the insert that was supposed to come with it got lost in the delivery process. I’m so glad I settled on this one. The flame, sound, and heat are all customizable. It allows me to keep my thermostat lower in the winter, and I still have a beautiful “fireplace” in summer without heat. The fireplace is very poor quality. The fire look super artificial. The glass cover in front is not fully flush with the metal box (picture attached), for that reason dust gets inside and it will get dirty after some time. Moreover, you cannot take out the glass to clean it. The seller accepts return, but it was not mentioned that the return is on you, the fireplace is a large item and will cost you quite a bit, ~$120. When I called the seller to return the item to the warehouse, they just hung up on me. After shipping the item back, the seller did not return the money until I opened a case with Amazon to dispute.
