My wife and I didn't do much comparative shopping on this purchase. We saw an ad, and jumped. But we're very happy with the product. Numerous rice cookers are on the market, and I presume most if not all of them work the same. This one, the Rice Robot, may not be better than the others but it's right for us. It comes with a pamphlet containing 60 recipes. We've tried several of them, and all were delicious and very easy to make. I've made oatmeal in it twice. Add the ingredients in accordance with instructions on the oatmeal carton, press the cook button then walk away. It comes out perfectly. It's also a good size for the two of us empty nesters. The meals we've made feed both of us with leftovers. It's easy to clean, and doesn't take much space on our counters, which is important to us. ... show more

If I had to buy it again, I would buy it again, good product well worth the money I bought this for my granddaughter and she loved it. It was the most easiest way to make white rice thank you satisfied customer.

Works good! do not leave on warm for a long time. The rice will burn or get hard.

the product did not work, when i hit the cook button down it popped back after 2 minutes and went to warm, was not able to get it to cook, stayed on warm, followed all the trouble shooting tips with no luck. in the process of exchanging it, I plan to give it one more try.

We love this little machine! Super easy to keep clean. Can put in the dishwasher, but we've found it simply takes a quick swipe with the dish brush and it's done. Love that it's a set and forget. You simply add rice, water, seasoning, close the lid, press the button and walk away. Comes wit a nice recipe book for variations on rice plus others. So far we've tried different seasoned rices, Mac and cheese, and veggies. All came out great! Excited to try more! ... show more

    • Cook switch broke
After using this item 2 times, the switch for cook broke. I now take the switch down when I want it to cook. Not a big deal, just pointing it out. Other than that it’s a decent low cost rice cooker.
