I didn’t go through every review to find the answer, but since the 2023 is still a JL model, I purchased the racks thinking it should work. I was right, tacks went on my Rubicon without any problems. I also reviewed the manufacturer’s installation video and did not have any problems.

    • Not perfect but gets the job done.
What can I say, these are 80 lbs. rain drip rail racks, useful for light duty gear that can be strapped to the top of your Jeep. Not hard to assemble or install, but an extra set of hands is nice to have to do the job more quickly. Not a lot of additional wind noise which I appreciate. One small bolt was missing, and after contacting the manufacturer, they shipped me the part. Rubber bumpers that go into the rain drip rail, fall off easily. Not intended to be left on long term. Made of Aluminum, and plastic, with stainless steel hardware. ... show more

    • Great roof rack for JKU and Gladiator
I originally got this when I had a 2018 Wrangler JKU for ski carriers. Used for several years with no issues. It was only on vehicle for about 4 months out of the year. I changed to a Jeep Gladiator and was pleased that it fit that as well with no issues. Mine was missing one of the threaded metal plates needed for the gutter clamp when it arrived. I found one made by Thule, but it needed one edge ground off some to fit. ... show more

    • Missing parts, Rhino customer service useless
Mine arrived with three missing "dowel nuts" (what Rhino calls them), though I discovered one was loose in the box - the other two had never been installed. Other users reported this same issue. Contacted Rhino customer service and after a lot of back and forth (proving I purchased the product, identifying the product which they couldn't identify, etc.) they said they had shipped the parts. Maybe they did. But they never arrived. So I am left with a useless rack that cost over $300 that I have to return, wait for a new one, and hope it comes with all the parts. Very disappointing, I've been in similar situations with other companies and they get the parts out immediately, with expedited shipping, to avoid the cost of taking back a full return for two tiny, but absolutely necessary, parts. This rack has a quality appearance and includes reasonably well designed hardware and extruded aluminum aerodynamic (quiet) black painted cross bars with a embedded textured rubber non-slip strip on the top of the cross bars to help keep loads from moving. Has an 88 pound rating. We are using this rack with an Amazon Sourced "Reese Towpower 7018100 Canoe Loader" on a 4-dr JKUR Design details, the four black composite uprights (feet) two on each end, of each of the two bars, are sturdy and about 4 inches wide, with a trim cover piece and a steel, black powder-coated lip piece. The feet have a straight rail that fits securely in the upper (bottom) of the rain gutter slot, and four lip pieces clamps securely under the JKUR hard top rain gutter just above the door frame top (no interference with weather stripping) using two stainless anti-tamper hexhead screws per support, that screw into "barrel bolts" in supports to allow proper pivoting/alignment of the clamping hardware (as it is tightened) when installing the racks. A small t-handle tool with blue tab handle is provided to tighten (install rack) and loosen (remove rack). Our rack arrived in good condition with ALL required hardware to properly install it. All parts were sheathed in protective plastic to prevent surface finish marring/scratching. We are using this Rhino Vortex rack to carry an inverted ultra-light Kevlar (50 lbs) canoe on the roof along with a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, Amazon sourced, "Reese Towpower 7018100 Canoe Loader" which is a rear receiver mount device that allows convenient one-person pivot-loading, and provides an additional safety/capacity rear support member augmenting the two Rhino cargo bars. ... show more

The rack looks nice, it works well but the anti-theft hardware is garbage. It’s more of a one time use thing. The head of the bolts are pressed into shape. So once you start tightening them down, the head of the bolt expands to the point where it can no longer be tightened. So once the racks are on, keep them on. Otherwise you will have to take a trip to the hardware store. If it weren’t for the garbage hardware, it would be easy to install. ... show more

I did a bit of research before committing to the Rhino rack cross bars- I want to make sure it was easy for me to manage and that they didn’t “whistle” as I heard other cross bars do. They were packed very well, pretty easy to put together- I crossed checked with a YouTube video to make sure- and today I easily carried my SUP and not a sound (with or without the board on top) with speeds over 60mph. Definitely worth the money - my SUP is 20lbs without the bag and about 29lbs with the travel bag. I’m very please with this product. ... show more

We are planning a trip with some friends and taking two jeeps. We purchased two of these racks, one for each vehicle. Yesterday we assembled one of them and I noticed that the screw threads (for the car mount clip) were already ‘snapped’ in place (ie. Did not come in a plastic bag) and one of them had fallen off and was loose in the box. I recalled thinking it was strange but continued to assemble. The rest overall was fairly simple (even though the instructions could be more comprehensive). However, I tried assembling the second set today and once again the screw thread (most important part for actually fastening it to the car) was missing and was nowhere to be found in the box and therefore I cannot actually use the rack and have to return it. Leaving on my trip soon so this is a big inconvenience. For this price point I expect better. They should either send the entire clip ready to go (assembled) or send the threads in a small plastic bag like the screws and screw key. ... show more
