AWESOME! The compact size is great, good coverage & yet not too huge.
Style: Batwing Compact Awning Left Hand
We stole a warm/sunny day in Feb (in the Northeast!) to install this...but forgot to take a picture before putting the winter cover back onto our truck camper! We are SO happy with this awning. It was really easy to install, and it's easy to both open & put away. Will give some nice sun AND rain covering this coming summer...really happy with it.

Great awning easy set up
Style: Batwing Compact Awning Left Hand
Set up pretty easily, took maybe 35 min. I used the mounts that came with the awning on my rhino vortex aero bars. The awning itself looks really nice when fully set up. The legs don’t seem to strong but very easy to set up. Haven’t actually used it camping yet will update review once we do so.

Like the awning, when it’s not breaking
Style: Batwing Compact Awning Left Hand
We secured down as instructed and still broke. Rhino racks customer service isn’t great. Our previous trailer had an ARB awning that also broke and they had the replacement part on my doorstep within 24 hours! Rhino rack told us it was designed to do that and told me to get the wrong replacement part. The part I actually need out of stock and it’s going to cost me $150 to fix. I understand them being designed to snap under pressure but every awning should come with at least 4 extra hinges. Ok awning but not worth the $$$$. There are other brands out there with much better warranty’s and customer service

Nice design - Poor materials
Style: Batwing Compact Awning Left Hand
The Batwing has great coverage, installed on our teardrop trailer. The awning material is very nice, but I'd advise anyone to keep shopping as there are two major flaws in this awning: - the hinges for the poles break, which you can read about in every review with a 4-star or less rating - the poles on ours (twist to tighten setup) are failing. One will not tighten at all so it's taped, and another one is collapsing with any wind bouncing. When that happens the wing drops and can break the hinge. Customer service is quick to reply but only offered to sell me more failing poles. Keep shopping!

Generally a good awning but plastic hinges are weak
Style: Batwing Compact Awning Left Hand
I was looking for a moderately priced 270 awning for my Jeep Wrangler and purchased the Rhino Rack Batwing. I've been using mine for almost a year and generally a fairly good awning providing decent rain and sun protection in a easy to set-up package. The real failing of these awnings is the weak hinge design. The plastic pivot points are designed to be the weak point and break before the awning support struts bend or the material tears in a high wind or if not tie-down and secured properly. These parts are easy to replace and not very expensive and can save damage to more expensive parts of the awning. The only problem is they are too weak and break very easily. If you are not very careful with setting up and taking down the awning you can easily break one. The good news is that you can replace them in the field without too much trouble if you have the spare parts. I'd strongly recommend you carry a couple of replacement pivots, they're not expensive and allow you to repair the awning.

seems to be a great product
Style: Batwing Compact Awning Left Hand
seems to be a great product but 3 of the 4 hinge pins broke the first day probably do to user error but it seems like the replacement parts are hard to find and i think it should be a little tougher at the hinge point and they are meant to break away in strong wind but i think just unloading it shouldn't break them. i had to order new parts over seas and it was over $100 but i did buy 2 sets of pins. in my opinion they should have a little stronger pins that is the only down side ive seen with this product so far. other than that it works great and is very handy
