We've had this product in our new home for about 6 months now. It has been truly life changing to have continuous hot water. We are a family of 6 (soon to be 7) we go through several loads of laundry each day, the shower and/or bath tub gets used by at least 4 people daily, and we are in the kitchen non stop; either cooking or doing dishes (by hand, no dish washer). This hot water heater has never failed us! Never left anyone with less than a steaming hot shower! We've never lost water temperature no matter how much it's been used. When trying to decide which product to use in our home, I was completely hesitant to try something other than the old go-to water heaters but technology has been a blessing in this decision.     • NO RETURN POLICY! MULTIPLE SERVICE CALLS, PARTS AND DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS WILL NOT BE REPLACED.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT....IT HAS NEVER WORKED. It was professionally installed in new construction and when it ran it gave hot water initially. Turning it off and back on it gives a code 11 and no hot water. We have had 2 service calls with our plumber and 4 service calls with our gas company who installs these all the time. We have paid for MULTIPLE service calls to professional installers and purchased parts that the Rheem service 800# told us to purchase. New gas lines, new air vents and multiple parts. We paid 1,100.00 for this product. It is not returnable to Amazon. We paid 2 service calls to our plumber and $851.55 to our gas installer for parts. RHEEM WILL NOT HONOR THAT THIS IS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT! We have no hot water in our new home. Our gas professional followed the instructions of the technicians from Rheem did everything we were told to do....and our plumber and our gas installer have called this unrepairable and a defective unit. Now 2 months in this troubleshooting process without hot water RHEEM wants to have a tech come to our home to inspect it. They want pictures of the install. They want me to remove the cover and send a photograph. I will not remove anything for fear we will be responsible for damage. Boiling water for dishes and washing on my stove will get old. I know this is within RHEEMS power to say "you have done everything we asked you to do, we will send out a new water heater" But they will not do this. The run around is their way of getting rid of you. Terrible, non existent return policy! I am on 800# as I type this I was refused a replacement and now waiting for a supervisor. I explained to supervisor and she has me on hold again, did not have the authority to replace the unit. Transferred to the Tankless department....will probably need to go thru the whole thing again. And yes now I am going to the escalation department. A total of one hour and 37 minutes with Rheem 800 number, do not waste your time do not buy this product you will only be on hold, told to do this and do that, buy this and buy that, take pictures etc. They will not send a replacement product. Rheem was a good name for many years, sadly they stall and put you on hold and run you around hoping you will go away. Hopefully I have saved someone else this expense and stress and the endless run around we have had with this experience. I had a tankless in my old house which was about half the size of my new house. And the them works great except it takes forever to get that initial hot water. Of course once it does, it goes on forever, but in my smaller house, I didn’t really notice it as much but in this larger house, 3000 ft.² you’re talking 30 to 45 seconds before you start to feel something warm. I know they have some options in the kitchen. You can buy add-on components to instantly deliver at like your sink. But you know there’s a lot of faucets in my house. . Also. There was nothing in the installation that talked about the condensation tube at the bottom of the unit. For the first week or so it didn’t drip at all and all of a sudden one day just started dripping. I guess it’s normal but there’s not a mention of the instructions. So you just have to get a tube and run it outside or into a drain pipe ... show more

Best decision ever. If you’re considering going tankless, you won’t regret doing so! This unit will heat 3 showers at a time with the water pressure a bit less but I’m ok with the pressure loss because we can shower for hrs
