I have a few Appeck outdoor RGB lighting sets. I ordered this set for indoors. The six lights are box shaped and can be anchored to something, wall or otherwise, by 3M adhesive or screws. The light fixtures should not be used outdoors. The plastic casing is not water proof or humidity. Installation is very easy. Setup is easy as well. The Smart Life/Tuya app is easy to use and gives you many options and control over the function of the lights. Appeck lighting pairs with Alexa Echo within seconds and gives you voice command control of the lighting. I have the lights setup in what is called Routines. This enables you to set times and colors to be turned on or turned off. Full automation can be achieved. I got these lights to have above my photography work space, I love that I can control the colors and setting from my phone. Set up was simple, I placed each light and then connected them, much easier than fumbling with a whole string line of lights. The remote control on the power cord is a bit tricky to use, I just started pressing buttons but never got the hang of it before I connected it to the app. There are very little instructions on how to use the lights or how to connect them once in the app, That part took longer than it needed to. Overall I'm pleased with the product, They are bright without being blinding and the colors and light themes are fun to see. You can also customize each light for a particular occasion. You can also set up a schedule for them to turn on and off which I really like, If I ever move them to a different part of the house and use them as wall lighting. ... show more

It works with Alexa and it works with an APP that you may download to your smartphone. These can be customized to all kinds of combinations. These are strung together via USB cables.     • Resets to a default setting when connected to a switched outlet. Not good!
I had hoped to use this in a home theater where the set is plugged into a switched outlet. The problem is that when you switch the light off and then back on via the light switch, it defaults to a flashing red light setting! Unacceptable. So to use this set, it appears that you need to hook it up to an outlet that is always hot. And then use it via the manual switch on the light or through the app that you need to install on your phone. Or Alexa, etc. I get the whole smart light thing but not without keeping basic functionality as well. Big disappointment. ... show more

It was impossible to tell from the listing but these are not hardwired lights they do plug-in which is what I wanted haven't really played with them much but they are very nice looking

The media could not be loaded. First I haven’t hooked these up yet as they are going in my game room after I figure out which wall I want them on. I did test them out though and they work great. These are Bluetooth compatible and changing the color and pattern on them is easy with the switch provided. These lights hook into one another with a USB C cord which is attached to each light. These can be mounted to the wall with either screws or double sided tape which are both included. I really like these and would recommend them. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Smart wall sconce- 54 dynamic scene had many options to choose from. Set up was simple. All hardware was included to mount these lights. I like the one in my video the best, the subtle change of color which my camera couldn’t film well. The app that you can down load has so many options. This set of wall sconces sits behind our sofa and it’s so pretty in the evening, our sofa is a few inches from the wall . These lights are bright and colorful with loads of color modes.
