This is what I would have dreamed of having as a kid. Crisp and bright color screen, hours long battery, speaker you can actually hear. The design is great, really hits you right in the nostalgia. The performance is great, some games do behave oddly, but that's not this devices fault. The emulation is still being worked on for a fair number of these games. And updating them is pretty simple if you are familiar with RetroArch. My main issues however are the support for additional devices. The listing stated it works with 2.4ghz wireless controllers, however that's only when a dongle is attached. The way the listing words it implies the compatibility is native. You would need to use the USB port for a wireless adapter, which makes it more inconvenient to use than a simple wired controller. Why they mentioned that is beyond me, because that was a major reason I was interested in this, and finding out it's not possible sort of put a damper on it. It was ready to go right out of the box. The menu ui is easy to navigate and has most of the common setting options. The build quality is decent when it comes to the button controls and screen. The screen is vibrant and clear with near edge to edge display. The emulation is okay, probably the weakest point but is common with most devices.
