I have a lot of experience running RetroPi on Raspberry Pi systems, and the concept of these front-end emulators such as this system. The interface is great, the games run great, there is a lot of bang-for-buck, and the screen is very clear and bright, and seems to have perfect 1:1 pixel ratio. Overall, I would say this is a great value, even comes with carrying case and charging cable. I wanted something very portable to take around and play, and this fit the bill. Special Kudos: Being able to run N64, Sega Dreamcast and Play Station (PS1) titles in smooth 3D with decent FPS is impressive for such a small device Being able to customize the RGB lights (or turn off) from the settings, and a built in GUI based user manual are nice touches, along with being able to join a Wi-Fi for network play. My minor list of "issues:" Atari 8-bit collection is limited to roughly a dozen or so Atari 2600 titles, nothing for the 5200 or 7800, not the end of the world, but there are some great ports for those systems that I wish were included, and I will try to add to the SD card. The Arcade selection makes up for the lack of Atari 8-bit options since most of the better Atari games were arcade ports, and the originals run great. Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) has games with a unique number attached to each title, so they don't sort by game name, but by the unique number system assigned to them. Famicom and Super Famicom - why these are included in these retro bundles is always a mystery, there are basically random Japanese games only available in Japan that most causal gamers aren't interested in, unless you are super fan of the history and versions of older systems Many box art, screen shots and sample clips are missing from most of the Nintendo games, probably because they are named custom Final thoughts: Overall, a great system for the price, and highly functional, and highly playable, the build quality seems satisfactory for the price point. If you have large "man hands" such as I, you may feel a little cramped using the analog stick and button mashing after extended periods, I'd suggest taking breaks, and doing some stretches to the thumbs, especially I feel is a good enough value to recommend to any retro gaming fan.

Only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because time tell how it holds up, thing is great so far. For the price, being able to emulate so many classic games with no delay, no download, no wifi, is fantastic. Some of the more demanding emulations are a liiiittle choppy at times but I can guarentee you the original hardware for most of the games included would have ran them worse! Perfect present for the person who has free time and enjoys video games but has no consoles.

At this point they all (handheld emulators) offer the same features to a certain extent . I really just got this one because I loved the design and color options. Customize that software peeps this handheld has infinite potential you just have to unlock it 😎
