INTRODUCTION I recently purchased the Rexing V2 Pro AI dash cam, which has the three channel (front, cabin, rear) cameras that you can run at 1080p. This replaced my older Rexing V1-4K Ultra HD dash cam. Purchased from Amazon with a $30 coupon so total cost with tax was $250. This was a big upgrade as I gained another camera for the cabin, 1080p resolution (all cameras), GPS built in the dash cam, improved night vision and AI. (The V1 required an external GPS Logger which was one more thing to stick to the windshield.) The dash cam came well boxed and was delivered in one week by ordering thru Amazon. Installation was quite easy since I already had my Mini-USB hardwire kit for the V1 hooked up to an ignition switched fuse and constant power fuse in my engine compartment. (2017 Ford Expedition EL) MOUNTING CAMERA Removing the old mounting bracket was tricky but with a razor was able to slice it off and then remove the old sticky tape. Mounting the new bracket was pretty quick. Remember to make sure the front lens is within the wipers range and also not in front any visual obstructions on the windshield. Clean the windshield with alcohol wipe before mounting the bracket. Make a dry run with the camera connected to the bracket and cameras all pointing in the direction you would like and turn the camera on. View the camera screen to make sure the two views are OK. Note: I did have to rerun the rear cam wire and mount a new bracket to the back windshield for the new rear camera installation. As with the front/cabin dash cam, make a dry run with the back cam to make sure it is placed unobstructed and has a good view. Making wired connections were easy as mentioned above. I highly recommend to purchase the hardwiring kit as the dash cam turns on when I start the SUV. Don’t forget to purchase a micro SD card. I use a SanDisk 128 Ultra MicroSDXC UHS-I. This card allows me about 4 to 5 days of recording all three cameras a 1080p. I set the recording time to 5 minutes and file sizes range from 150MB to 421MB. Remember, for every 5 minute segment there are 3 MP4 files, one for each camera. PHONE WITH WIFI To use the WIFI connection to the V2 Pro you need to download the Rexing Connect App. The WIFI connection to my Samsung Android phone was immediate and simple. With a WIFI connection you can see live camera on your phone. You are also able to view all of your 5 minute segment recorded MP4 files. The app is very responsive and videos come across quickly without buffering or lag. I have not downloaded a file but I know that is possible. COMPUTER WITH SOFTWARE To view video files on your computer you first download the Rexing software called GPS Player. To play videos, remove the MicroSD card from the V2 Pro and insert into an SD card adapter. Using the software, open the files on the SD card. Once the file is loaded you can see the track of the 5 minute segment in a red line on a Google map. In playing the video off of the SD card the video was a little jumpy but the timing of the video with placement on the map was very accurate. The video quality was excellent. AI The AI works well however I am not sure if it is something I would use or need at this point. I plan to mess with it a little more to explore its potential. CONCLUSION SUMMARY PROS: Overall a great dash cam, easy installation, WIFI connection to Phone, Viewing video route with GPS with GPS Player great accuracy. Video resolution is excellent. CONS: Paper instructions has very small print, Still working on what AI really provides and how useful it is (after two weeks)

My current Rexing dash cam is the V1P. I’ve had no issues so far and it has done its job since 2018, by providing me crucial camera footage when needed. I recently picked up a new family car and was without a dash cam. Since the V1P worked flawlessly for the past couple years, I decided to get another Rexing. The reason for choosing another Rexing was simple. The ease of overall use and reliability. It was plug and play. Once it was setup, I just forgot about it until I needed it, and it was very easy to grab the footage off the SD card. Alright, so the V2 Pro came well boxed and was delivered by Amazon. The dash cam was actually delivered faster than expected and so it was just sitting while I was waiting to pick up my new car so no issues with placing the order and receiving the dash cam. When I went to install the V2 Pro it was fairly easy to follow the paper instructions provided. However, I am a visual person so it would have been even better if there was a video tutorial from Rexing on how to install so I could just follow along by watching instead of reading (there may be such a tutorial, but I used the paper instructions when installing mine). It was fairly easy to install. The only issue I had was with the power cord plugging in the 12V. Sometimes it does not register and therefore does not turn on. I have to press it down hard or move it around before it connects. Not sure if the cord I received is a lemon and a new power cord will fix the issue. The camera footage is decent quality with 1080p. For those looking for higher resolution, Rexing has the V1PGW-4K (I’m debating updating my V1P with this updated model) that is 4K resolution. I really like how the V2 Pro now has the ability to swivel the exterior and interior cameras. The IR night vision is new as well and works pretty well for the cabin at nights. Some other new features are the pedestrian warning, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. I have not been in a situation where these were truly tested, but it is nice to know this camera will provide that protection and additional layer of safety when driving. In this day and age where a clear cut car accident could be muddled by people lying, having footage will save you time, money, and the headache. I am confident that this new V2 Pro will also provide years of dependability. Pro Tips: 1) Have another person standing on the outside of the vehicle and have them let you know if the dash cam is centered and not to low/high on the windshield. 2) There does not seem to be a way to flip the rear camera image on this model so make sure you double check the camera is mounted correctly or else it will be upside down.

i purchased the camera and the wire kit 2 years ago with the recommended sd card (size and speed) and I'm writing a review cuz I had a car crash this week and there were no videos saved. i have also had several incidents before where I needed videos from the camera as evidence and all the videos were corrupted on the sd card. the last time this camera saved videos were 2 months ago! and most of the videos were also corrupted and I could not open them. this is an unreliable product read on if you would like more details. The video quality is great, I did not have a problem with it depleting my battery power. however, it fails to do its job as a dash cam miserably. if you are buying it because it announces lane departure, vehicle ahead warnings, or pedestrians, this is more of a gimic than a real safety feature. it's random and inconsistent, if you are in a city it is annoying and you will either turn it off or your brain will tune it out , or your music will be too loud and you won't hear it. on the highway it is random and does not always work so it's not an effective feature to rely on. the camera worked properly in the beginning, for a few months - it turned on at all times and captured video as expected. but at some point it started turning off on its own, restarting randomly and I started finding corrupted videos when I needed to check for evidence on several occasions. pulling videos out of the camera using the phone app is a very difficult and miserable slow process. so in 2 years I had 3 minor incidents and car crash and I could not recover any evidence from the camera in all of these situations a waste of money and waste of time installing the device in my vehicle.

I bought this for my SUV in conjunction with the hardwire kit that was recommended by Rexing for the parking mode. Right off the bat, I was very happy with the ease of install, formatting SD card and navigation of features and most of all the picture quality/sound. They give you plenty of wire for the main camera along with the rear facing camera. The directions for installing were pretty poor but if you are mechanically/technologically inclined you can manage. Now the sad part, I purchased the hard wire kit that supplies power from fuse box to camera as I wanted to be able to use the parking feature with the G-shock. In another review of the hardwire kit, I had to go through two of these kits (first one had a broken mini usb connection) which I found out after installing. The second kit I ordered worked when starting up the car but wouldn't work when jostling it to trigger the parking mode. I tried swapping wires like many other reviewers mentioned (apparently wires are mis labelled from factory). I really wanted this feature so I downgraded my review. Also, I found the lane departure feature not very accurate especially if you set the sensitivity to medium or low. You can be driving down the road straight and it will still say you are crossing lanes. The collision AI feature was also not very appealing as if any car passed in front of you it would trigger the alarm no matter how sensitive you set it too. Overall I'm mildly happy with the product but wouldn't probably recommend buying this product again with all the problems that it has. 9-17-2022 Update So I got an email from Matt at Rexing who reached out to me from customer service regarding my recent experience. After some dialogue I requested to have a replacement sent to me after sharing some further details about my experience. Rexing was apologetic for the issues and wanted to make it right by offering to send me a replacement as I'm still in the market for a good dashcam. So I'm updating my review from 2 star to 4 star as a result of their great customer service pending receipt of a replacement V2 which I hope will work flawlessly. Stay tuned for my next update.

This is my 4th Rexing camera in a 6-year period, and yes all still work like new. I was upgrading and giving away older ones to friends and family. The camera has three REXING V2 PRO AI has three cameras, I have tested the front and the inside so far and both have crystal clear images. The inside cabin camera would be a good security feature for all who runs Uber or Lyft services. You can even record audio which could be easily deactivate just by pressing a button. I honestly won’t be using the Lane Departure Warnings and the Collision Warning, but both worked perfectly on my test, you can watch and hear a Clear to go Alert on the uploaded video. I was able to connect over the WIFI very fast and the app is easy and straightforward for any non-savvy person to use, which will be very useful if you need to pull any video for any kind of road or parking incident (I recommend running the hardwire installation to have full advantage of the Parking mode). I did not try the rear camera yet, but I am confident will work as well the other two, because the design looks pretty much the same as my previous ones. The only thing I would point to be improved is the interior camera makes some black fiber looks like purple(Not a big deal to me) and the second one and maybe there is a way but, I could find how to disable the interior camera recording to save space, even though the camera has the loop mode on by default and will delete any oldest record that has not being lock by the G sensor or manually by you. Pro: 1-AI works fine 2- The WIFI works great (This one It is a big deal) 3- You can have very clear audio in the interior if you want. 4- The dual camera had clear pictures 5- Easy to install 6- Cheaper than other brand names more expensive and no big differences. Cons: 1- Would be great if you could disable the recording on the interior camera. 2- The audio alert for the camera is hard to hear if you are listening to medium to loud music 3-The second, interior camera is shading some black fiber material into purple (Not a big deal to me) Suggestions: Would be great if we could manage for setting over the WIFI connection in the future, for convenience. I recommend this camera to all my friends and family (if they do not get an older for my first lol)

I am a fan of all the features of this camera, most of these can be seen by the other reviews. I have had this camera for about 3 weeks now and have seen a few drawbacks that I think people need to know about before making a purchase. I have the smart install kit so I have the parking time lapse option turned on. About 50% of the time after starting the vehicle up, the camera does not start recording. I have to make it a point to look at the unit and activate recording if it is not already doing so. I have also noticed that this unit does not do well in heat. It is currently April here in NC, and temps are only around the 80s right now. I have seen it lock up no less than 5 times due to over heating when the car is parked. The only fix for this is to unplug the power connector from the unit and let its internal battery run out before it turns completely off. Then let it set for a few minutes with the AC running out the defrost to cool it off. Only then can I attempt to turn it back on, where it starts recording automatically. I am struggling to decide if I want to keep this or return it and go to a different brand. I have been running Rexing dash cams for a few years now and they have always been a decent entry level company. Maybe it is time to try a different brand now. Any suggestions?

Best camera so far with all the dashcams I have seen with excellent specifications all around and hi-tech features needed by everyone. Great and fast delivery by Amazon as well. Rexing has a range of great products and I have used the V1P which is the best in 4K which now am upgrading to V2Pro. There are great features with V2Pro that makes this a perfect buy for many: - The first and best one is its very easy to install the front and the rear if followed through with step by step instructions from the manual. - The best is the 4K video recording option which is very necessary to cover so many factors on dashcam. Best quality for the price with 4k option and a peace of mind to have all angles of the vehicle covered in case of an accident. - Super smooth recording that even with motion everything is visible with good amount of clarity. - The swivel function is great as it gives chance to capture the front and the in car at the same time. - The night vison is very good as well as the necessary things are easily visible even on videos recorded at night. - Inbuilt wifi is a convenience as we can transfer videos recorded directly to the cellphone this avoids all the hassle of using a memory card reader and a PC. - GPS logger and Parking functions are useful though it needs an additional hardwire kit which i want to add to my car soon. - Additional safety features add and are good haven't used them all but pedestrian and lane keeping is always a plus to have great to have the V2Pro. Overall a great addition with AI functions definitely worth the money and I would surely recommend anyone to take advantage plus have the hard wire kit ordered with the camera itself.
