This 3D scanner is so much faster and more user friendly, I no longer have the need to have the laptop cabled to the scanner. Very fast and precise, the calibration process is efficient, it was tiresome to watch the laptop screen and hold the scanner while trying to judge where to point the scanner when it required re calibration. I would purchase this again indeed.

I'm still learning about cad, 3d printing, scanning and associated technical jargon, but this device is amazing. I was able to accurately scan a variety of objects with minimal instruction. After reading more about the scanning process on the internet, I've been able to get better scans with fewer mistakes. Also, I love that you can delete mistakes and start from the last good scan. The process is so forgiving. A machine that does a better job than this thing is an exorbitant cost, at marginal improvement. This is going to do everything I need it to with automotive applications, and more. Portability is the biggest convenience with this thing!

$1,000 scanner does not come with a required usb 3 to usd-c adapter. I have a pc that exceeds requirements and for some reason revopoint decided that the end of their plug should be usbc. Top of the line gaming/ productivity computers have lots of usb ports. Phones use usbc. It’s a small part you shouldn’t have to buy to use a product that comes at a premium price.

Love this unit. Quite a bit of power on board. So far i have had success with scanning objects. Lets be honest though.. this is a powerful tool and there is a learning curve.. thankfully revopoint makes it easy to understand. Honestly, if i had the money... i would love to own the new Trackpoint from revopoint...or at least demo one..lol.... but the miraco.. is AWESOME. Would definitely recommend.

Updating after finding a workaround for Mac-USB issue… searching the forums, I did find a solution, though not ideal, it does work. I am looking forward to learning to use the MIRACO Plus and the Revo Scan app. I’m sure you can understand my disappointment after spending $1,800+ on this and not actually be able to connect it to my Mac. Brian Nov 1, 2024, 02:31 GMT+8 Here’s what solved the problem #78 of this thread. Revoscan 5.4.1 doesn't see the Miraco over USB (MacOS) forum.revopoint3d.com You might want to include that in your Customer Service notes. Previous… Revopoint says it supports MacOs, yet there are numerous reports over forums that share the same experience that I'm having on my Mac. The Miraco Plus simply does not show up on a MacBookPro to transfer files period. Have wasted too much time trying to get it to work. Sad. Had really high hopes for this product. Sorely disappointed. I'm using an M1 Pro, 16GB with Sonoma 14.2.1 If Revopoint can provide a simple and reliable solution, I'll change my review, but until then, stay away from this if you are a Mac user.

Please read current update: So far, we have been able to capture most of what we purchased this unit for. It struggles with dark, or shiny objects quite a bit, and it scans slower than we expected, but it seems to work "OK". The big issue is with the lights on it. When you are scanning in tighter areas where you need some light. I wouldn't recommend using the onboard lights. They drain the battery at an extraordinary rate. We were at 100% charge, and started scanning with the lights on, and we used 50% of the battery life in 30 minutes of scanning. That's a far cry from the up to 2.5 hours of scan time that it claims. Seems to me they should have opted for a little bit more weight, to get some better battery life out of this thing. Update: Revopoint is currently working with me on the battery life issue. I will updated this review as things progress. As for now the service from them has been stellar.
