I love this little game! I grew up on old Nintendo's and always wanted a Gameboy as a kid. I finally received a Nintendo 64 when I got a bit older and have since been hooked and own ALL the Nintendo products made since then. I purchased this for my daughter (and for myself, honestly) and it does not disappoint. For the money, it's amazing, honestly. So many classic games with the classic music. Easy to control and the battery lasts for HOURS. We've only had to charge it every few days and she takes it along for all the car rides and everything and it's simple and fun and you don't have to worry about internet connections or the kids talking to strangers online.. it's good, old fashioned, safe fun for the kids! First of all, it's all about nostalgia, I can give it an extra star just for that. It reminded me of my childhood spent hours with all these Nintendo games. There are many pros and cons to this console. Pros: It has a lot of old games, which you can play. Easy to navigate, many of them in English. Also, it is pretty compact, so it's easy to bring with you. The battery holds a charge well. The screen is not huge but enough for me. You can connect it to the TV but it worked for me on one and didn't on another one. Has a second controller so you can play with someone. And no cons: 500 games but many of them are repeated and maybe some modifications. The ergonomics and quality of the main controls are not great, far from old-school controllers. Because of that some games are not easy to play. To connect to the TV it uses old AV cable which is not working everywhere and some modern TV doesn't have them at all. Also, it shows some defects in picture then projected to the TV. You can't use the second controller as the main control. Especially when it's connected to the TV. No output for headsets. The instruction is in Chinese and useless. But you can use Google Translate with photo translation. This device has good potential but needs some improvements. ... show more

Fun concept but it glitches. You can’t save progress. It comes with AV cables which not many modern tvs do not have. Can’t return because I bought it on October as a gift. Don’t waste your money.

The variety of games offered is amazing. The fact that it can be hooked to the TV for the 2 player option is a real bonus! And the nostalgia factor from playing all the old games is great. The graphics and sound quality was good for this type game. It was very user friendly. It is overall a great portable game. This console really does have 500 games on it, a lot of retro games and some random ones as well. But the games run pretty smoothly, no issues with any of the buttons or the sound. I really liked that it is lightweight and easy to carry around; perfect for long trips.
