Last year for Christmas I got this set for my nephew (5) and my niece (3). They absolutely love the T Rex. Whenever I go over to their house my nephew Gatlin always asks to play with the T Rex so we battle it out while he imitates the roaring noise. I ordered two of these for my kids, the dinosaurs don't like rechargeable batteries ( they will only work with regular batteries, rechargeable battery voltage is too low) and 1 remote didn't work right out of the box. If you hold the remote up to your camera on your phone and push a button on the remote you should see a quick infrared flash of light from it. If you don't it doesn't work. I am currently waiting to hear back from the company as I have requested a replacement remote, I will update my review with the outcome. Update 4/11/23 After contacting the seller and not receiving a reply I decided to open the remote and fix it myself. Upon opening the remote I found both solder connections for the IR LED coming off the board as shown in the picture. After a bit of a struggle with it I was able to solder them both back on the board and it works now but I can confirm that these are of very poor quality and customer service is even poorer (nonexistent). Once they get your money you probably won't hear from them again so if you buy them you've been warned. Amazon should not be selling these toys, I would have been more understanding if I had at least received an automated reply but got nothing, I wont buy another thing from this seller ever again. ... show more

It is fun in its new-ness as something that lights up & makes noise but would be more fun if you could actually control its movements more, turn side to side, etc. also desperately needs volume knob!!
