After reading all the reviews about battery replacement in the snake head, looking at the video was no help. Using the screwdriver that fits our eyeglass screws works perfect. Yes the screws were tight but now they will be easier to remove. After the removal of the two screws in the head/neck area, batteries pop out and piece of cake. The boys love this snake. Once you try to change the batteries, you realize why this came with batteries. I had to use a drill bit to make the hole bigger and the phillips screws still took patience, but I finally got them out without breaking it! The head will just slide mostly out; enough to change them once the 2 screws are loosened. Overall, the kids love this toy more than any remote control car! ... show more

The snake and controller come with batteries. When you need to replace batteries in the snake, be prepared. You need a tiny Phillips screwdriver, not something most people have at home. I bought this Terra by Battat Remote Control Emerald Tree Boa Snake Toy for my son because he loves reptiles and I thought it would be a fun, exciting toy for him. Unfortunately, when we opened the box, the snake was already broken in two pieces. My son was really disappointed because he had been looking forward to playing with it, and we couldn’t even test the toy properly since it requires the tail to balance it. The snake itself looks realistic and the design seems great, but the quality and packaging clearly need improvement. It feels like it could break very easily, which is not ideal for a toy meant for kids. I expected something sturdier for the price, especially from a brand like Battat. It’s frustrating to spend money on a toy that arrives damaged and can’t be used at all. If the quality was better, this could have been a fun and educational toy, but as it stands, it was a huge disappointment for both me and my son. ... show more
