  • Pirate accessories
Our granddaughter had a pirate birthday party. She really enjoyed the accessories.

  • A great little telescope that's portable
This is packaged for kids, it seems, but it really is a handy little telescope for anyone! Far from a toy, it is clear and enables a great view from a distance. I love taking it to the lake or the park. It is small enough to easily carry anywhere, even to concerts where you want a better view. Perfect for birdwatching even at home : look out your window to the bird feeder. Quality made with a lot of magnifying power. ... show more

  • Retro pirate 25x telescope
Got the Laupha Retro Pirate Telescope (25x30 zoomable, collapsible handheld monocular) with the included treasure map for my kid. Tt's a fun, vintage looking spyglass that nails the pirate look with the include pirate map. The brass-like metal finish looks authentic and durable, collapses nicely for portability, and comes with a case plus that cool treasure map for imaginative play. Zoom works decently (up to 25x) for spotting distant objects, birds, or boats. clearer than expected for the price. Great for kids' adventures or camping; waterproof (?) build held up to a couple of outdoors trips without any issues. Downsides: Optical quality isn't great (some chromatic aberration at max zoom, eye relief short for glasses wearers), and it's more toy/decor than serious optics. Better for casual fun rather than precise viewing. Overall, excellent value for pirate-themed gifting or play. Helps to spark kids imagination without breaking the bank ... show more

  • Surprisingly Clear and Well-Made for a Novelty Pirate Telescope
I bought this mostly as a gag gift for my wife to use on our boat, so I wasn’t expecting much in terms of optical quality. The image clarity was actually better than expected and should work well for spotting boats or shoreline details. The manual claims it can focus on objects as close as 6 feet, but in my experience the closest usable focus was closer to 16–18 feet. That said, this isn’t something you’d realistically use at close range. Build quality is decent for a novelty item. The metal body has some weight, and the collapsible design makes it easy to store. The included carrying bag has minimal padding but is sufficient for protecting it from light bumps and scratches. The included treasure map is fabric rather than paper, with good-quality printing and should be durable. A lens cleaning cloth is also included, which is a nice practical touch. Overall, this is a functional novelty telescope. It looks good, works better than expected, but should be viewed more as a themed accessory than a precision optical tool. ... show more

  • Genuinely cool metal telescope
My expectations for this were relatively low. I thought I would probably get a paper map and a cheap plastic tube telescope that barely worked to magnify. What I got is way better than that. The map is a soft and heavy cloth that has an almost leathery texture to it and feels very premium for a toy. The telescope expands and collapses smoothly, has actual heft in the hand, is made of metal, actually works as a telescope and can be focused by moving the tubes in and out slightly. The carrying case for the telescope is thicker and more durable than I was expecting. The belt loop is a little cheap, but this is a toy, and that hardly detracts from the functionality or feel of the rest of the thing. As toys go, I think this is awesome. It relies on storytelling and imagination, rather than springs, or batteries. _____ I review a lot of stuff. Here’s how I use the stars: ***** = Genuinely impressed. Item really exceeded my expectations. **** = Solid and exactly as described, met my expectations. *** = I was disappointed, but my complaint might be a personal one. Your mileage may vary. ** or * A hard pass. Would not recommend ... show more

  • Fun treasure hunting
This Retro Pirate Telescope Zoomable with Treasure map and Spyglass is awesome. The spyglass has its own little case to keep it from getting scratched and it is sturdy so the kids will not break it easily. The map itself is cloth so it will rip. These are so cute and my grandkids think they are searching for a real treasure. They love using the spyglass. It does work just have to really get your eye in the right spot. Such a cute set. I would 100% recommend as this is great quality for the money. ... show more

  • Rediscover Exploration Through a Vintage Lens
Retro Pirate Telescope Zoomable with Treasure Map 25x30 Spyglass Portable Collapsible Handheld Telescope Vintage Monocular for Kids & Survival Gear I recently had the chance to try out the Retro Pirate Telescope, and I have to say, it really impressed me over the couple days I used it. The 25x zoom was fantastic for spotting details in trees and ponds, and the collapsible design made it super easy to adjust the focus on the fly. Plus, the vintage brass finish gives it a charming look, and the treasure map that came with it turned my kids' backyard adventures into a real treasure hunt! It was comfortable to hold during our short walks, making it a breeze to observe birds and landmarks. This telescope perfectly combines a playful design with practical use, and I’m thrilled to give it a solid five stars. I wholeheartedly recommend it and would definitely buy it again! ... show more

  • Great quality toy!
I got this telescope and treasure map for my 4 year old to play with. However, I am pretty impressed with how well made the telescope is I don't want him to break it. This kit includes the collapsible telescope, carrying case, cleaning cloth, and a cloth map. The case is flimsy but everything is feels like it's well made. The cloth map is a microfiber polyester material. The telescope has a small viewing field but the glass seems like it's high quality. I tried taking a photo through the eyepiece but it is quite difficult when the phone switches between which lenses while trying to line up the shot. ... show more
