Admittedly, I was super skeptical when my wife got this for me. This game stick has unlocked so many memories for me.

Instructions were tiny and I needed a magnifying glass to read, and what little instructions were there was of little help. Each controller requires (2) AAA batteries (not included). I was able to get the unit to operate, but it took a while to discover how to do it. The gaming module must be connected to an HDMI port on your TV. It requires a power source, which comes from the USB-to-Type C cable (Included) to be plugged into the USB port on your TV. There is a MODE button on the game controller which powers on the controller. Also, I found that pressing the MODE button until only the RED indicator light displays will get you back to the game selection menu. A menu is displayed at the bottom of the screen, but the icons indicated do not seem to correlate with the labels on the controller. I was able to play a couple of games, but the controller operation was confusing. It took a lot of experimentation to find out some of the controls. One game I tried was Wolfenstein of which I am very familiar from years past. I could barely get through the first couple of obstacles because the controls were so sluggish. I couldn’t discover how to get some of the functions such as “strafe” to work. The graphics were also inferior. If the instructions were more defined, it would help a lot. I searched the Internet trying to find better information on the operation of this console and the controllers, but could find nothing. While there are a lot of retro games on this console, I don’t think it’s worth the effort to try to play those games because of the difficulty. There is no real operations manual available, and it’s too frustrating to try to get the controller to work like it should. In my opinion, this is not worth the money.

I didn't expect much from this game, but it succeeded in not meeting my expectations. Graphics are terrible. Controller is not responsive enough. The first several hundred games are martial arts games, so you have to scroll down a long way before you get to any of the other games. Game names do not always clearly indicate what you're playing. Some games don't fit the screen. Lots of the games will be listed multiple times. Some of them will work and some won't, or some of the graphics will be missing. I could go on and on. Not sure why I'm giving it 2 stars. I've seen much better retro games for about the same money.

I'm blown away at the amount of retro games you get for this price. In the 80s arcade days I could easily go through $20 in quarters in an afternoon. And I can't even calculate the amount of money I spent in the 90s on my PlayStation, Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo consoles and games, let alone my kids Gameboys in the early 2000s. They're all on here along with many others, categorized by system, including original Atari, Capcom, PC, Sega Game Gear, and other systems I don't recognize. Obviously the old graphics are more pixelated. I was stoked to find Road Rash in the Sega Genesis category but those 16 bit graphics are so crude. Not complaining though, this game stick rocks!

This was very easy to use, plug and play retro gaming! No downloading or complicated setup required, and with the HDMI plug, it looks great on a flatscreen! Huge library of retro console games all fit on a 64GB micro SD card. Controllers are PS5 style, but seem to work well with most of the games, with no lag and consistent wireless connections. Highly recommended.
