I know this is more successful with small immediate stains, but I have a rug that has been through the ringer for two years. I have spot cleaned it and rug cleaned it with two separate machines. I've scrubbed and deodorized and vacuumed. I used alcohol, vinegar, peroxide, and pet deodorizing enzyme spray for the pet messes. It reeks. The rug reeks. For the past several days, though, after using this ENTIRE bottle of foam cleaner on my mid-size area rug, it smelled good again. I can smell it when I pass the threshold of the room, again, though. It isn't as loud, but it is coming. I know it is. On the plus side, the rug looks a bit more lively. Mixed results, I suppose. A few days of peace. Some hope that MAYBE I am on the right track.
