Been into car audio forever, usually name brand subs over the years. I ventured out a few times on different brands of so called hi end subs only to find that they only sound good with electronic ultra low bass music. I decided to try this one after reading and watching reviews on it. This sub does not disapoint. It can play everything from 30hz to 80 fairly flat. It's tight but gets extremely loud as well. Same box, same car, same Jlrd1500 amp this sub is probably 6-9 db louder than anything else i have tried so far. I have an ssa Icon that plays low really well, but rolls off so steeply above 45hz that it comepletely misses notes. I have two different infinity 12's. Perfect and new kappa that sound similar to this Gold v2 but can't come close to the level of output this monster has. I have it in 2.5cuft tuned 32hz. I have not tried it in my other boxes yet, but I dont think it will be superfinicky on box specs. ... show more

First off let me say this thing is built like a tank! Craftsmanship is A1 plus 4 gauge push terminals mean I don't have to fight to get dual 10 gauge wires hooked up. At almost 55lbs, it's heavy, but so is the sound. I only have it on a kicker zx750.1 as I was just wanting to have something to enhance my music but this thing absolutely kills my truck right out the box. I almost want to do some upgrades and run 2k on it but I don't think I could take it In my older age. I'm not sure if it's the sub, the box, or both, but I know it's an unreal sound for the power it's on. Get this sub and this harmony audio box together and I promise you won't be disappointed! ... show more
