I had bought an Apple Pencil a long time ago. I returned it because it didn’t work on my device at the time. Through the last 4 years I have had 4 stylus’ that were off brand and worked well, my last showing signs of failure recently. So I was happy to give this one a try, and I am glad I did. CONNECTING: This pen came with instructions for connecting it to your iPad device (works on my 4th Gen iPad Air model A2316, please check for YOUR device model# before purchase). But it makes you do certain steps: like telling you to unpair it from your device…when in fact you don’t have to do that at all. Simply attach it to the pencil charger on top/side of the device for about 10 seconds. 3 will do, but you want to make sure it charges a little more. Next it tells you to enter the settings, Apple Pencil and TURN OFF the draw only option..but this option is already off 🤷🏽♀️. It tells you to turn on Scribble…which unless you really want to write ✍🏽, it isn’t necessary either. So in short, the pencil works right out of the case and you really don’t have to do a thing. You can connect the pencil with Bluetooth, it shows as “PENCIL”, but it really isn’t necessary 💯 THE GAP: My only concern is with the pencil tips. They are replaceable and the pencil comes with two tips when the time comes to change them. Install of the tips is easy, but they don’t screw down flush. That is, they are never flat and touching the pencil base. If you look at my pictures you will see one picture with my fingers and the tip of the pencil. You can clearly see the gap between the replaceable tip, and the rest of the pencil base. This gap concerns me for one reason only: it will loosen itself easily, and I find myself obsessing over it, constantly checking that it is screwed in. 🤦🏽♀️ This is the only flaw this pencil has. CONCLUSION: I am using this pencil right now, and I love it. Yes I constantly check the tip is still screwed done, but it has worked flawlessly never the less. It is a great replacement for the OG iPad Pencil. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'd give it a full 4 stars as it definitely works and connects easily but the quality more aligned with the price vs. the Apple version. I used Adobe Fresco right away and it all worked just fine. For a basic Apple Pencil replacement, this is a good choice that offers high value but has limited function. Pros - Connects and works - different tips a plus Cons - No buttons or functions on the pencil for powering on/off - No ability to see charge status - No ability to charge via USB
