  • Finally an affordable POE doorbell
Color: Black
Easy to install, looks great. Video quality is top notch. Their support is fast responding and easy to work with. I am using with Home Assistant and linked to HomeKit so I do not use the wireless chime, although I did have issues linking the chime and eventually gave up. I use this with Scrypted as my NVR, and it works very well, including two way audio. Really like the POE option in a doorbell. My house did not have a doorbell when I moved in, and I was dreading having to install an old school transformer for something that can be easily powered off of POE. Rather run CAT6 than doorbell wiring for future needs. ... show more

  • Works great! Does the job.
Color: Black
I replaced my wireless piece of cr@p ARLO doorbell camera with REOLINK "wired" cameras. LOVE IT! The hard part, running the single ethernet cable per camera. But the results, fantastic, instant video, minimal lag, not like 2-never lag from my ARLO system. If someone is at the door, I get instant notice and can see them in real-time. One time, I was out of state and was even able to talk to someone who came to my door by mistake!! I was NEVER able to get ARLO connected fast enough to have a conversation with someone! Another cool feature, is a wireless doorbell. You just plug the doorbell gadget into any outlet and when someone pushes the doorbell button, it rings!! And I can hear the bell as I can move the ringer around. One time I was ill and put the ringer in my bedroom .... you get the idea. Video quality is great for my purpose ... lots of Youtube video comparisons if your interested. Bottom line, I can see my packages delivered and people at my door! Love it. ... show more

  • BETTER SMART MOTION DETECTION THAN PROVIDED BY STANDARD POE CAMERAS IN OUR NVR+CAM PACKAGE
Color: Black
I purchased a package of 4k cameras and a NVR for recording but found that, although record functionality and picture quality of these cameras was very good, the motion detection was far too aggressive to ever be used for reliable push notifications (i.e. every change in lighting, rain/snow/wind debris, almost any type of movement triggers a motion and sensitivity/non-detection zone settings are not capable of ensuring only reliable triggers for people). I added a Duo flood cam due to it's smart detection technology and found a whole different world exists with its capabilities to distinguish people/cars/pets/"any motion". Would have loved to put more of these at every door, but not in budget. I tried one of the doorbell cams because it also reported to have smart people detection technology and was more in my budget. Although not as adaptive as the duo, this cam was easily able to be adjusted to ensure motion of people were easily triggered but avoiding all other issues experienced with my cameras that came with package. Worked so well that I can set up PUSH notifications to my mobile app and not have to worry about being awaken by false alarms overnight. In fact, works so well I purchased 3 more to have coverage at every exterior door even though the doorbell functionality is not needed. Although I rated this camera 4 stars, the following negatives were the reason for the missing 5th star: 1. These doorbell cams come with one wedge to angle partially which probably is sufficient for most typical front door applications; however, when utilizing around other doors I found that more flexibility was required to allow enhanced angle adjustments. I couldn't find any adjustable mounts as are available for other cameras that can rotate on a ball-joint to get the full range of adjustment needed. Would be nice if Reolink developed a cheap mount. I had some old driveway sensors with ball socket brackets that I was able to modify to screw the doorbell cam bracket to and now can adjust about 150 deg up/down. 2. One of the best features of a competitive doorbell cam is that it plays a recorded message such as "YOU ARE BEING RECORDED" as soon as motion is detected as a deterrent for anyone approaching. This cam comes with the ability to alarm when motion is detected or a custom recording can be made to play instead. The alarm is rather harsh and maybe too alarming when someone is legitimately approaching the door. The perfect solution is the ability to record a 5 second custom message to pay instead; however, the recorded message is never played loud enough to hear unless very close to the camera itself (unlike the default alarm). I worked with tech service to resolve but appears it is a limitation of the camera or recording from app issue. I did find that if you can record very loud using a wired mic plugged into phone it does help some on playback. This could be one of the strongest features of this cam if the speaker or issue was resolved (plenty enough power available using POE to have better speaker output). Noteworthy, the Duo flood camera also has same issue with recorded messages even though it includes a volume control and it's turned to max (full disclosure - I do have app running on older android phone so until I upgrade my phone, I can't be sure that issue isn't related to app on my existing phone). Also, although a little tedious emailing customer tech back and forth to problem solve, they are responsive and helpfull diagnosing issues. The new smarter motion detection technology is the way to go and if you are looking for an affordable solution at exterior doors around your house that ensures maximum triggering for "real" events and very minimum false triggers, these cams may work for you as well as they have for me. Perhaps some of their other cameras offer same level of functionality as well. ... show more

  • Fantastic Addition to Our Security System NVR
Color: Black
Amazing picture quality, motion events, and function. The Reolink NVR found it on the network and added it automatically. Stylish and blends in with the black door frame.

  • This is probably the Best bang for the Buck I Blue Iris User could ask for in a DBCam
Color: Black
This review is for the PoE Doorbell camera: I upgraded from a Hikvision DB1 Wi-Fi 2.4GHz camera (it was an abysmal experience and I'm happy to be rid of it) The installation and configuration was super easy because of the intuitive Web setup. I did not even use the ReoLink app until after I had it powered up, static IP configured, routed on my network and fully connected to Blue Iris. I use an 8-port PoE switch so everything was PnP for my install. If you are a Blue Iris user, then you know that two-way communication is our Holy Grail and this camera does not have it. I am happy to report, however, that if you can stand it, the App (no online account setup was required) works flawlessly for two way comms and since I already had iPads hanging up around my home for the two-way comms with the doorbell (that I could never get running right using the Hikvision camera), that works really well. I plugged in the doorbell chime and it works but the iPads carry the load of alerting us of someone at the door. What a fantastic product, even ReoLink published a video on getting the baby up and running - with the stock firmware. This one is winner, IMHO. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY THIS - NO FULL REFUND - 2 week update
Color: Black
UPDATE: My second video doorbell worked great for 3 days and now only records intermittently. It won't live preview at all, and only works as a doorbell. Support has been unhelpful and there aren't any hoops left for me to jump through. DO NOT BUY THIS. 30+ days to get a refund after 2 weeks of troubleshooting, and they'll only give you a partial refund. Waste of time and money. The first video doorbell that I received was defective. For some reason it would not power up. Customer service worked with me to troubleshoot, but due to our time zone difference, it took several days. I was able to act on the warranty and received a replacement within 24 hours. The replacement worked flawlessly, the way I expected the first one to work. The picture quality is about as good as you can expect. There is a decent amount of lag when trying to talk through the doorbell, which really scared me when I heard "Hello?" from my front door in my own voice 5 minutes after I tried it from my phone. Overall, it's just what I expected from this kind of technology and I'm satisfied with the video doorbell and my Reolink system. ... show more
