I bought this for use as a projector stand because somehow trying to balance my projector on a bunch of unstable uneven boxes wasn't cutting it. I conduct in home presentations at least 10x’s per week. Sometimes homeowners don’t have a table where we can sit and I can make my presentation. Often times they are more comfortable on the couch or they just might not have furniture available. This is perfect to grab out of my vehicle and setup so that I can use my iPad to present from. It’s also sturdy enough for me to use as a desk or podium while at home. Great stand for the price. I have 2 issues: the foam pad is too thick, so a laptop might slide off if the platform angle is too steep (need to skip using the foam pad). Either the foam needs to be thinner, or the base lip needs to be higher.
