For the price, this camera is very good. I got it when it was on sale last month, installed the camera and it worked right away. Must have strong WIFI signal in order to work properly. I've really enjoyed my experience with ReoLink cameras. They are super easy to set up and seem to be the most stable wifi cameras I've used. I use these cameras to monitor an in-water boat that is kept four hours from my home. I have two of these wired (power) wifi cameras in the engine room and a solar camera mounted on the dock piling. I've previously used Blink cameras and found them to be nowhere near as reliable as ReolInk. After almost 11 months my solar camera on the dock had a bad battery, but one email to customer service and they promptly sent me a new camera. ... show more

    • Manage your Expectations - A Decent Camera
The camera is decent and very easy to set up with the Reolink app. It supports a maximum of 128gb SD card for local recording. The motion detection works well, as do most of the other features. The maximum resolution is 1080p, which is sufficient if you are using this on a small porch as a sort of door camera, or if you want to see cars/people over a larger area, but don't expect to see detail like license plates or facial features at all but the closest distances. That being said, I several of these that fit my use case well, and for instances where I need finer detail I use something that is 5MP or higher in resolution. I also have to give a good mark for technical support; one of my power adapters went out and Reolink didn't have any replacements to send me, so they just told me to buy a compatible one here on Amazon and then credited the difference back to me from my original order.     • I’m buying my 14th camera, but it’s not all been smooth.
I can’t explain it but the recent outdoor plug in cameras (black ones) break faster than the older white ones. The problem occurs when they need restarts or manually resetting. There seems to be a finite amount of times you can insert that little pin before it breaks. Even after reset, some cameras will not connect to the router again. But the ones that continue to work are pretty good so I build some loss into my expectations . I’m buying another one, hoping that the recent failure of two of my newer cameras is just a fluke and not reduced quality from the factory . Reolink technical support is very good. But I don’t want to spend my time getting to know them. The app is super easy to use and the picture quality is better than my more expensive Lorex cameras. So go for it but don’t expect perfection.     • Stay AWAY from REOlink Cams
this company is a total RIP OFF. they sell inferior cameras that do not last even half the warranty period then refuse to honor warranty replacements. they are NOT waterproof and to make them so, you need a silicone sleeve. but that only keeps them waterproof a bit longer b/c eventually, having the battery at the bottom of the cam, means water will eventually get in via gravity and kill the card reading capacity. so if you can install where it is protected from the elements, this will work for you. At least short term. but the company is not reliable or accountable. the Argus 2 cam was their WiFi batter i first invested in 2018. i have since gotten 8 or 9 of them. only now, the camera batteries failed but REOlink STOPPED manufacturing them and I am stuck with 8 cams that are completely useless. the power cords fail to connect properly to the cam ports making them impossible to charge. even when they do connect, the batteries still may no longer hold a charge. this company is refusing to do more than offer a 30% off replacement cams. shame on them. stay away. ... show more
