All of my security cameras are DLINK DCS-5030 and operate on WiFi 2.4Ghz. They have served my family well over the past 7 years. The DLINK company has discontinued technical support for this camera on 01/01/2021. Consequently, I have been looking for a replacement. The Reolink TrackMix Wired LTE was my first introduction to Reolink family. I was impressed with this camera, as noted on my Amazon 5 ⭐ review, and began searching other Reolink camera to add to my home security system. This Argus Eco Ultra and Solar Panel have many attractive features: 1) Waterproof housing for outdoors 2) Solar power 3) Operates on WiFi 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz 4) Local storage 5) AI smart detection 6) 2 way audio With these features this camera is an excellent candidate to installed over my detached garage. Although the camera can operate over WiFi 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz. The distance (50 feet) from the router dictate using WiFi 2.4Ghz. The camera was installed 18" below the garage roofline with the solar panel aimed Southeast. I will closely monitor the battery during the Winter. I have the luxury of using an AC adapter should the need arise. All the hardware necessary are included. Because I'm familiar with the Reolink app setup was easy. I am pleased with this camera. I award 5⭐

This outdoor security camera is great! The device itself feels very well made and doesn't feel or look cheap. The overall design is also very nice and the mounting plates and screws feel strong and sturdy when installed correctly. The camera itself is very easy to setup (once you mount it) and the app does a great job walking you through the process. The image quality is very good in my opinion and what you would expect at this price point. The night vision works pretty well for up close objects and of course gets worse as you go further away, but that is to be expected. The videos and images are stored on the sdcard (not included). The wide field of view is amazing and I love being able to see the "full picture". This camera is completely wireless for the video/audio transmission and does work with 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks. It is also powered with an internal battery and has an included solar panel, too. I fully charged the battery once and so far, it's basically been on full. Even on cloudy days it still gets some juice. However, battery life will vary depending on how much or how little you use it. The motion detection is really good on this and after a few tests I found it able to detect movement pretty well. This camera has built in AI and during my initial use, it is doing a good job differentiating between cars, people, and packages. The app is very nicely setup and is very easy to use and figure out. In fact, I really like their app compared to other security camera companies. You can download the photos/videos to your phone/tablet and have access to all the settings of the camera. This can be done anywhere you have an internet connection. All things considered, this is a great outdoor security camera with good image quality and other features that really add to a great security camera experience. Reolink has a great reputation and this camera is no exception!

This is a great little camera for the money. I love that there's a solar panel to keep it charged. I fully charged it first so that the panel just keeps it topped off. We don't get a lot of daylight this season, but the panel seems to be able to keep up with the demand. Since it's solar/battery - you can't tie this to a 24/7 NVR via ONVIF. So storage is either cloud or local. I love that I didn't even need to create an account to start using the app. Just scan the camera, and boom it's all right there. More companies should follow this lead. The quality is very good. Not as great as I thought, but not bad. Again, at this price point, it's a great camera. The app is a bit slow now and then, but works well overall. The scrub bar is responsive, and works well. The push notifications DO NOT include a thumbnail of the motion, something I'm accustomed to from just about all the other vendors. Live view takes a bit longer than I would like, but not terrible. It doesn't automatically record live view, unless you click the button for it. Battery dropped only about 2% in a whole 24 hrs, and that's WITHOUT the panel. Pretty impressive. With the panel, it's even better.

Set this system up and it seemed to work alright for a short period of time. After two weeks, it has caused nothing but problems. They won't troubleshoot on the phone - only by email. Notifications won't come through. It takes 4-6 attempts for it to connect to the router. We've been writing with Reolink for hours with no success. DON'T BUY!!!!
