  • Works great.
Set name: WiFi Set
Works great. I have no issues with mine after a year of use just have learn how to properly set it up for the tracking to work. So far it’s been awesome and wealth it. The solar panels keeps battery well charged all the time. No WiFi connectivity issues neither. Using 125db SIM card that records for months. Also shows you snap shots of videos saved before so you can choose what footage to reviews. In all it’s a very good camera. This not a payed review, real customer real experience. ... show more

  • Fair review of like and dis-like
Set name: WiFi Set
I have owned several brands of outdoor cameras over many years. There's a lot of garbage out there. After reading the reviews on this camera I was skeptical, however the poor reviews seemed more like user error than product, so I went for it. I've had that camera now for over a year and it has been a rockstar. It did crash once a few months ago, I rebooted it and it has been flawless since. I have since purchased two more and they are also operating at the same level. Doing what I expect. What I like: Quality build. It feels beefy and it works well. Smooth and does what you expect. I really love the dual camera. I leave one wide angle (default) and the 2nd zoom to get more detail on that same scene. The tracking works really well and even zooms in and out. What I don't like: It can be slow to connect to the camera from the app. Not horrible, but sometimes longer than a wifi connected camera. I suspect this may be due to our rural location over cellular and not the camera performance. The main thing that drives me nuts is the app. It works well overall but as you drill down on video's and then hit the back button, you can be buried several layers deep taking a lot of clicks to get back to the main screen. Easy software app fix. I'm digging deep on the dis-likes. Really, this is the best outdoor camera I've found yet. ... show more

  • Off to a horible start, setup failed, support unavailable (other than an annoying chatbot...)
Set name: 4G Set
I may update this if I ever get it working... and yes, I realize I'm writing a one star review for a product I just received and have run into issues setting up. But while I'm waiting for what the most infuriating chatbot (with shocking bad grasp of English grammar) tells me will be a 1-3 day wait for a human to respond to my technical support request, I figured I'd let off a little steam about the experience so far. Isn't that what reviews are for, venting? In brief, the camera never showed up in my app after going all the way through the setup process, and paying for 3 months of data. I can attempt to re-add it- which entails purchasing ANOTHER subscription, but the 40% new customer discount will not apply. I tried everything their faq recommends to try to reset it. No luck. Support apparently is a 1-3 day delay type thing. So backing up a bit- I have issues with the physical device- specifically the sim card cover and the sdcard cover. The material seems pretty solid, but the screws are terrible. The instructions mention a screwdriver, but there wasn't one in my package. No worries, I have plenty... or at least I though- what the heck type of screw head is this? It appears to be one of those slotted/ Phillips types, but it's too shallow to fit a Phillips #1, and too narrow for a #2. So it's a slotted screwdriver, ok. They should be captive - as in, they don't unscrew all the way so that you drop them and can't find them to put the cover back on, but on mine, one unscrews all the way out. They're really really hard to find if you drop them. If you've mounted the camera already and you're standing on a ladder over shrubbery, you're just plain screwed, no pun. I'm pretty sure they're an M2 or smaller, so good luck finding that at your local hardware store. Oh and they're stainless - as they should be for outdoors, but good luck finding them with a magnet (or trying to use a magnetic screwdriver to keep from losing them). The SD card screws - which are on the bottom of the lower camera unit? Neither are captive. And with this weird non-conforming head type, the will not stay on the end of an even magnetized screwdriver. Allen or torx head screws would have been a far better choice here. When you run into issues requiring resetting the thing, you'll have to pull the top side sim cover off all over again. Ignore the chatbot if it points you to a reset article for the thing which said the reset button is under the sdcard cover... It isn't. I'm just really irked there isn't a human - or a marginally competent chatbot which could look up to see if my payment went through, or reset the plan setup, since that's what really seems to have borked here. I might ordinarily be amused that the chatbot doesn't speak - or understand English well, but not when you're looking for help and all it can do is tell you "Sorry. You can try to rephrase your question or directly contact an agent by typing “Agent”, so you reply "Agent" and it replies, "I didn't get that." I'm pretty shocked at the lack of more timely support at this price point. I'm just not sure this is going to work out. ... show more

  • Great camera but if you live in cold country you may want to get a 12 watt solar panel.
Set name: WiFi Set
I wanted a wireless solar camera that I could connect to my home network. This is a great camera for the money and the quality of the video is pretty good. The only issue I have is that I live in the north and it gets really cold. The camera comes with a 6 watt solar panel and when it gets down below freezing and the sky is overcast it barely keeps up with keeping the camera charged. We had a week solid like this and it finally died. So I put one of their 12 watt solar panels and it solved my problem. I brought it inside and charged it up and with the new solar panel it has been fully charged since. ... show more

  • Overall good camera just wish it came in black with faster fps
Set name: WiFi Set
This is a large camera especially with solar panel so don't expect to place it discretely. You can turn off the status light so that's a plus. Also, this one came in white and yes I painted it a matt black using Rustoleum professional series spray with no issues just take your time, cover things up that don't need to be painted and do light sprays and several coats letting it dry between. I've done this with numerous brand cameras but make sure it works great for say a week before doing so. Reolink even states you can paint but obviously run a risk with warranty if you just soaked it in paint so test you paint on some paper first. With that said overall it is a good camera. Motion track works pretty good. Max framerate is only 15 fps on this model so you will get some blur(i.e. ghosting) if say someone runs by it really fast or rides by it on an off-road vehicle. Daytime, animals can walk by and it remains clear. Night time I believe the fps may drop slightly as it will blur if they are walking by like a fox. Zoom lens is I would say ok, not great but not bad either. The lights on this thing will light up a very large area and are very bright. I have used it for over a month now and have a mix of sun and shade throughout day from trees but still remain at 100% battery. I use this primarily as a game camera and using hardwired outdoor wifi units (POE not wifi backhaul) I can set it up 200-300 yards away and still get decent response times. ... show more
