I was looking for a telescoping ladder and did lots of looking. I decided on this one. I liked the look of it and figured if it was crap...I would just send it back. Let me tell you the good and the bad. #1 I knew going into buying one of these ladders that they were going to be heavy. I read people complaining about the weight. Is it heavy? It is not as heavy as a 20 foot extension ladder. But yes, for the average person it will be heavy. I am not trying to be sexist, but the wife will not be able to easily bring this in and out. Do I want it HEAVY? Yes I do. I am risking my life on this thing. I do not wany it light weight. #2 This thing is rock solid. Once you learn the art of putting it up and taking it down, it is awesome. I am 6 foot 3 and 230 pounds. I feel good and safe on it. I read some of the reviews about some of these ladders being unsafe, well, with this ladder you would have to be an idiot to not have each rung locked it. It is so easy to know if the rung is locked or not. So easy. If you are careless, then you probably should not be up on a ladder of this size anyway. #3 The assembly. As with most stuff from China, the instructions are useless. They forget to tell you that before inserting the base supports you need to remove the plastic shipping blocks AND CUT OUT THE PIECE OF PLASTIC before inserting the rail. Also, the rubber feet are really hard to get onto the rail. I understand why...because you do not want these moving. The good is that this ladder is awesome if you understand that this is a serious ladder. It is heavy duty and is not a toy. The only bad for me are 2 things. The horrible instructions, and the fact that when carrying it, it can start to open. To remedy this, I am ordering some luggage straps with quick disconnects. to keep it all snug while I carry it from job to job. The 2 flaws do not justify losing a star. 5 stars for me. I hope this helps somebody.

My grandfather always said, “buy cheap, buy twice.” Truer words were never spoken in the case of this awful ladder. I don’t have a lot of ladder needs or requirements, just normal homeowner activities with a half a dozen uses a year at most. This looked like the perfect solution for my needs, easy to store, not taking up much space, perfect height, etc. First off, the assembly instructions are lacking to say the least. But I was able to figure it out. The biggest problem is its weight, it’s crazy heavy. I have no idea what those wheels are for, they are stupid useless. The rung from the first two the second is significantly greater distance than the others. Using the telescoping feature is very difficult and cumbersome at best. And it’s ‘rickety’ at best, very insecure feeling and that’s in the free-standing mode, I’m not even going to try as an extension ladder. I’ve done very few returns with Amazon, but this is going back for sure, given its weight it may not be a simple return. If for some reason it’s a pain in the neck to send back then I shall just donate it anonymously to some group and be done with it. Lesson learned. Buy cheap twice.

There are a ton of these for sale on Amazon. I was needing one for our RV. I slected this one because it looked like all the others with the same features but longer and cheaper. I was not disappointed. It is well made and solid. I have used it a few times with no issues getting on top of my RV. I'm 200 pounds and it felt as solid as my regular aluminum ladders.
