9/15/2020: UPDATE I sent an email to the seller and they agreed this was not good. With almost no questions aside from verifying my address they mailed out a new cover and it works perfectly. No issues with the zipper. I'd buy from them again with no hesitation. 9/8/2020: UPDATE I purchased this back in April and it arrived in May. I used it for a bit with the cover on it. But soon it was too warm, so I removed the cover, washed it and put it away. Imagine my shock this morning when I pulled it out to put it back on since the nights are getting cooler. I laid it out, tied the ties to put it back in and went to zip the blanket closed. The zipper is broken. I've literally used the zipper twice, once to check out how it was made, and once to remove the blanket from the cover. Obviously, it's too late to return but I'm not happy at all. One side of the zipper is no longer within the zipper case so it can't be closed. The pros: I loved the softness of the cover on the blanket. It's velvety texture is very gentle on the skin. The weight seems to be distributed evenly across the blanket. There's a smooth side and a side with a texture. It looks well made. I was a very mobile sleeper. And after starting to use a weighted blanket, I was finding I moved a lot less in my sleep. I really enjoy having pressure on me to help me sleep, it's very comforting and I wanted a heavier feel. I don't really have a con, just a reminder. When you're getting a 20 pound blanket, the weight is distributed across the entire blanket, so if you're hoping for 20 pounds on top of YOU, that's not what this will do. It may seem silly to say that, but when I ordered it I didn't think it through. I'm using it, along with a twin and that's giving me the really heavy pressure that I need.

This is a great buy. I was a skeptic at first, thinking a weighted blanket would not help my legs. I have restless leg syndrome and they can be very achy at night and twitchy. I have heard about the weighted blankets, but living in Florida, I thought it would be way too hot and uncomfortable to sleep with. I have used the blanket now for several weeks and I gave it time for the mind over matter effect. I am truly convinced this blanket is a miracle. I have never slept better. Yes, it is heavy, so if you toss and turn, you might find it difficult at first, but once you get used to it, you become less restless and don't turn as much. I feel "snug as a bug" literally. I would sooooooo recommend this blanket to anyone suffering from restless or achy legs. I do not feel hot at all with this, but I feel would provide warmth if in a cold environment like up north. Sitting in front of a fire all wrapped up would be fantastic. I do not do that, other than just laying it over my body at night. The material is very, very soft and well made. I absolutely love this blanket.

I’ve been a prime member for a few years and buy all the time for a lot of everyday items but I never really feel the need to write reviews. This blanket definitely deserves one though because I haven’t been this pleased with a purchase in a long time. I have had trouble sleeping all my life ever since I was a kid and in college it got even worse. I tried melatonin, prescription drugs, & weed to sleep but I don’t like the side effects those have on my body. I’ve read articles about weighted blankets and videos and the benefits and didn’t want to drop a lot of cash on one so kept putting it off. I found this one after searching for a while on amazon. This was the only one I could find with consistently good and not sponsored/inflated reviews and I am so happy I went with this one!!! When I got the box I thought dang this is super heavy, feels way more than 15 lbs but then I realized that’s just because the weight is distributed. Once I used it it didn’t feel too heavy at all. The beads are stitched in all over the blanket and you use ties and a zipper for the cover to keep it in place and you can remove to wash it. The material is sooo soft. I slept like a baby with it and it doesn’t make me too hot but also keeps me warm. Highly recommend this (I can’t stop telling people about it lol)

If you're looking into Weighted Blankets - its probably because you will like them. I selected this one because of the color and price and so far it has not disappointed. This is my first foray into weighted blankets and I'm glad I went in kind of blind, just knowing that I love the feeling of the weight of a heavy blanket and I liked the *idea* of a weighted blanket. If you're the same way, you'll probably like this weight too. With that said, I announced on my social media that I got one and a friend said his experience was different - that he should have gone with half the weight. He felt like he was trapped under one of the same weight. Here I just feel secure and cozy. I love it and can't wait to get in bed with this thing. I don't usually have trouble sleeping but since I got this I play a game where I count backwards from 100 until I fall asleep. The catch is, I don't just count. I visualize every number. If I get distracted or whatnot, I don't stress, I just start back where I remember I was and visualize and count. I don't think I've ever made it past 70. I wont say my sleep is revolutionized or anything, or that my rest is better, but it do enjoy being in my bed more now. Build quality seems reasonable. It is possible to bunch the weighted blanket up some underneath the cover, in which case I kind of 'pizza toss it' or kick it some to get it so spread out internally. Probably not the best blanket for.. err, active... bedtime activities unless you like an extra bit of a workout. This thing is heavy. I might do a full video review on my YouTube channel Peace, Love and Guns, who knows... maybe, maybe not...
