I live in Louisiana and with all the humidity we have here the adhesive Velcro does not stay on the windows. I suggest, if you also live in a climate like this, look into different types of adhesives.

It was sooo easy to install. Good quality material for the price. Was able to do 3 windows with the 118 x 27 kit. Adhesive on velcro works good. I did heat up the door frame where velcro goes to get best adhesion

I wanted these to use intermittently for black out curtains. They do the job well. I’ve taken them down and put back up a few times now without any issues.

I only just discovered that not only do they fall off, as in the sticky does not stay on the black shades but to make matters worse, the sticky gum on the back of the velcro, is now melting on my windows and oozing everywhere, I can't get it off. I only used them once a week for 3 hours, it's cold weather here. If it Had it been hot outside I would have caught it sooner. I'm so frustrated that my windows are ruined, I am wanting to return them but I see my window for return has closed. 20.00 $$ wasted. 20.00 $$ that I didn't have to begin with. Blinds snd curtains are much higher, I thought this would have been a perfect remedy. Unfortunately it didn't work. I have no idea what it will cost to clean my windows.. I'm so disappointed, no , I am mad. The first 2 uses were ok, but removing them became a messy hassle. Leaving me to only remove one corner in order to let the light in. What a mess. My advice is" DO NOT PURCHASE " unless you plan on never removing them and adding additional ducttape to keep them in place. If you have purchased them already, be very cautious and check daily so that you can return them in time if need be. I don't think the manufacturers are intentionally selling bad product . But they should extend the return deadline to 60 days. I honestly think if I could reach them, they would refund me. Just Buyer Beware. ... show more

Because the tape they supply is absolute garbage . This is the 3rd brand of this window blackout I've bought and by far the worst. Thinner than the other 2 and for some reason this heats up significantly more than the others. I used their tape 1st install of this one . Easy to install. Liked that aspect of this but- here’s the problem. Use more Velcro than you think you need. I live in the desert southwest, and it gets very hot here which is why I purchased this product. The first day the sheet of reflective material stayed up for about half the day, so I got my ladder out again, move the 44 inch flatscreen TV, and two bookshelves out of the way and added about four more pieces of Velcro, about 1 in. Each. A week later the sheet had once again fallen from the top left corner all the way down to the bottom of the window leaving just one piece of Velcro holding the sheet up in the top right corner. This has happened four times total. Each time I retrieved the ladder And added additional Velcro My last go around with adding Velcro, I didn’t fool around but added several more strips that I hope will keep the reflective material in place. I am guessing that due to the weather conditions here in Nevada, the glue holding the Velcro to the window simply can’t take that type of heat. The whole point of putting this up in the window in the first place was to keep the heat out of the room. So if you live in a hot climate, do yourself a favor and use more Velcro than you think is necessary, unless of course you like, carrying a heavy ladder from your garage to your window moving a TV set and two shelves out of the way as a fun activity. Otherwise this stuff seems to work as long as it stays up in the window 😊 Arrived fast. Came with a good quality, measuring tape, a razor cutter and decent written instructions. I would purchase this again because I like getting lots of extra cardio exercise by carrying the ladder and moving furniture away from my window, then moving it back and finally putting that ladder back in the garage.
