the product info is misleading, it comes with a sim card in a packet that says T-Mobile, but T-mobile isn't in our area. I didn't see anything about a provider other than that you could subscribe to their speedtalk whatever that is. Verizon wasn't able to add it to their server. The watch comes with instructions to set up an account with speedtalk which is $10/month AND 4 cents a minute. And I am not sure about your Kid... but mine wants to call me just to hear me breath while I am at work. Unfortunately I was on vacation and wasn't able to make the return window. So I guess we will find a kid that just wants to play the games on it or use it for a watch only. ... show more

3 stars because it wasnt total junk. It has games and things the kids love, but it didn't work for what I needed it to which was calling. Activating the sim was fine but the watch never connected to the data. I kept getting APN information that needed to be set up in order to get data and yet had no information on where or how to set up the APN on the smart watch. I didn't see anything in the settings to do this. It did say it could take 24 hours to connect, but it never did. Also, you can disable the watch, but only FROM the watch. Which means your kiddo can turn that "parental control" right back off on their own. So not really any parental control here. The sim did not charge me as it offers a seven day free trial and the watch is refundable so no harm. I spent the extra money on a nice one because I want to make sure my kiddo can communicate. ... show more

I ordered this for my 11-year-old grandson because I like the SOS button which is pressed for 3 to 5 seconds and automatically sends a message to me. There is also a parental control function so I can limit access to the watch. I will not use this function as I trust my grandson to monitor his own use. Included is a 4 G SIM card, the watch is 4G and also has two-way calling. My grandson has a high-end cell phone and my daughter knows the contacts he is allowed on the cell phone. This watch also limits calls from contacts specified. I like that the screen is larger than most watches and is also a touch screen, the strap is silicone but soft and comfortable. I am not sure if you can change the watch band. The watch plays music, and the pictures taken by the watch are not great but good enough for sending to friends and family. My grandson is using it to play a couple of the basic games, it can’t play high-end games that require a computer to game but it can entertain in situations where you have to wait for some time. If the watch is worn to school there is a silent mode so it will not cause any problems going off and disturbing classroom time. I will update my review after a couple of months of use. ... show more

We bought this watch for my 7yr old son. It has a nice big screen, though the adjustable band can fit even really small wrists. It has decent sound and color and can be used for Games, Music, as a Phone, a Video recorder, for Music and more! You can use it with or without a SIM card. And seems to be very intuitive and easy to use right out of the box. My son started using it as soon as he strapped it on! So far, no complaints and our son is really enjoying it. We'll have to manage his activities on the watch, but that's a good dilemma to have! It means that he loves it! ... show more

The watch is nice and calling is clear whenever you can get through. Many times, you have to restart the watch so that it would connect to the tower. Has some nice features, such as music, alarm.
