My husband and I have heard from friends and family about some serious treasures They have found along the beaches in New England. We thought it would be fun to take up a new hobby, get our own metal detector and find some treasure ourselves. We’ve had lots of luck (The machine has already paid for itself) I like it so much and find it to be a terrific price compared to others on the market so I plan on ordering another one for myself so we can get twice the coverage done on one trip. the LCD panel Is bright and easy to read (this was much more useful than I anticipated since we typically go out early morning when the sun is glaring) I also like that it tells you how the battery is doing and truly appreciate the back up battery included. This has come in handy so many times. we get about an hour of search time on each battery; A little less life if we do more underwater searching (probably because it has to work a little bit harder) The simplified assembly booklet made putting this together so easy. I had it done in about 10 minutes. The manual is also easy to read and understand. Also appreciate the thick and durable protective storage bag it comes with. This is a powerful tool. I found a 15 g 14 karat gold Cuban link bracelet, my husband found a few silver pieces as well. Just to name a few. The best experience for and hunting. This was used alongside 2 others and this one found the most treasures. It comes with a carrying Bag, 2 batteries, shovel, and headphones. It has 4 modes so you choose which works best in your situation. It saves your settings so you don't need to change them everytime to get them back to where you had them at. It can locate objects at 10" underground, and has an increased detection depth by 25%. Which allows you to detect more efficiently and get better results. It has a 10" search coil so your able to scan a larger area. It even works underwater so you can search at the beach. It has a LCD display that allows you to set your functions and settings and see the metal type and depth. It's adjustable and easily goes from 43.3" all the way to 60.2" so if your taller or shorter this can still work for you.     • Extremely easy to set up and get started with!
The media could not be loaded. This detector was super easy to set up and get started with. I’m an adult and had always wanted one of these as a kid. I finally treated myself as a Christmas gift and purchased this one. Took me a while to finally find the time to go out and really test it but it didn’t let me down. I found the directions very easy to follow. When I got started I asked my family to hide some coins of different metal types around the yard to see if I could find them. I got a lot of false positives and wasn’t patient enough to find all the coins 😂 but I contributed this to being because there is probably a lot of metal scraps in my city dirt under landscape rocks. Later I took it to the beach and it was a different story entirely. It hardly hit on anything which made it much easier to dig for the few hits it did find. Again, I had planted coins just to test the accuracy of the detection so I could determine how close to the sand I had to be. Didn’t have a lot of time that day so I didn’t find any treasure but I can’t wait to go out and try again. ... show more

We had it assembled in under 20 minutes and already detected metal in our yard! It found candy foil wrappers from Easter. All the settings and how far down to dig was very helpful. It's a great family activity for us to do with the kids, they love adventure and it's great fun. It is important to read the installation instructions before using them so that you know when to use which buttons.     • Constantly Going Off, Difficult to find interesting stuff.
I've tried adjusting the sensitivity, searching for only certain types of metal...but alas, it's practically useless. It just beeps so much and so hard to find the exact right center that my son and I just gave up on using it.
