I just got this today [0723/2020]. Opened and tested the quality. Here are my opinions about this PC speaker" 1. Small. Made of light plastic. 2. Not heavy. Speaker drivers are small almost 2 inches circular circumference. 3. No tweeters. It's a 2-in-1 speaker. 4. USB Powered. You can directly use an AC outlet with a USB adapter. 5. It's magnetically shielded and will not pose an issue to your hyper-sensitive monitor. I have a gaming monitor that is also protected with high-powered speakers. High-powered speakers high magnetic field. This one isn't. 6. If you are used to listening with speakers with subwoofer, this is not for you. 7. Good for night time or listening for sleeping purposes. 8. Not recommended for gaming. If you use it, the bass is flat. 9. Volume control is sectional. You will feel soft-clicks not mechanical. 10. current price is $28.99. for this price, you get what you expect. Overall. The quality is acceptable for light listening. But this is not good for gaming speakers, In My Humble Opinion [IMHO]. ... show more

Here are a few pros and cons: Pros: Good sound for the price, comparable to the Logitech Z313. Small so it doesn't take up too much desk space. Can get very loud and fills up a medium room with music with ease. Can be used as both separate speakers or a soundbar (this is the GS550 model). Volume knob is easily accessible and feels smooth. Cons: The wire connecting the second speaker a little short to place one speaker on each side for a 2 monitor setup. This problem could be solved if the wire connecting the two is detachable. The user could choose how long the wire should be to place the speakers however far or close they want the two speakers should be. The red led doesn't turn off even if the computer is turned off. This can be easily fixed by making the ports on your computer turn off when it is turned off. Overall these speakers are great for a budget. Have great sound and loudness. The two modes are also useful allowing you to chose however to use them. ... show more

These speakers are absolutely incredible. The quality isn’t exactly studio level but for the price they’re great! I have never turned them even half way up because they’re so loud. My biggest complaints are that the cables are rather short. I wish they were a foot or two longer. I also wish they had a second input as I also play my console on my desk as well and it would be nice to be able to use them with it as well but again, the price of them is still great for the features they have! Don’t expect just killer bass either. The adjustment of the sound levels are very smooth and with some tweaking in your audio settings you can get very nice sound! All In all these speakers are worth the money and you won’t regret them for the price! ... show more

These PC speakers are good for all general purposes. As the for the value, I just can’t complain. I wasn’t looking for no Bose or top of the line sound engineered speakers. If you’re looking for the same without breaking the bank then go with these.

Speakers are smaller than I thought they would be based on the pictures. I envisioned mini tower speakers but they are small desktop speakers like you would get in an office space. They are small and light, but sound quality is surprisingly good. These did inspire me to repair some old labtec speakers I thought I would replace. Those old labtecs have big drivers compared to these and really fill a large room with authority in comparison to these Redragons. ... show more

I have purchased a few Red Dragon products, and I have always appreciated the quality and utility of their products. The GS550 speakers are no exception. I really like that you are able to combine the speakers at the bottom and make a soundbar. The red lighting is not too bright or garish, either. They run on USB, so they are not the loudest but they sound pretty good. ... show more

Listen, it's a cheap speaker system, but it works. I've purchased a pair of keyboards from RedDragon, a K552 and a K556...the K556 is dying...spend your money elsewhere, but these speakers, although they just sit there and emit sounds, is pretty good...good tone and can be made into a bar or not. They've worked every day since they were purchased with no issues. I probably wouldn't buy them if I was pumping music out of them and you demand perfect tones or whatever audiophiles call them, but they're just used for monitoring police, fire and ems dispatch audio. 5 Stars. Update June 2021: Just purchased a 2nd pair of these speakers, still 5 stars as far as I'm concerned. They sound good and look good. ... show more

My favorite thing about these speakers is that they can flat. That's why I bought em. I have them laying underneath my monitor because I live with roommates and tend to keep my volume quiet so I wanted it to be more directional. I'm not sure how they sound when you keep em loud but these are just a really great all around speaker for gaming and streaming music/videos. ... show more
