I love this shades better than traditional ones! Dust that lands on it isn't visible, and it's easy to clean because the shades are just 1 long sheet of fabric. The fabric is thin and soft, but it's tough and holds it's shape well even if some water gets on it. Scissors cut it, but it takes strength or heavy duty fabric shears to cut in one straight line, so test it first by cutting only a little bit off the edge. I replaced the "chip bag" clips that came with it with 4 box staples (Bent in to a half-square shape) because the clips looked strange. I suppose most any type of clip will be able to hold the shades together, because even a bent paper clip works. The adhesive that sticks it to the top of the window hasn't failed yet, and I raise and lower them almost everyday. ... show more

    • Nice but shorter than expected

I got the 36x72 and they barely covered my 30x58 windows. The width was fine but the length is probably 72in when fully stretched out flat but these hang pleated not flat. I hung small weights off of the bottom to help them hang lower.

I have bought so many of these shades over the last couple years. These shades are great on a budget, and for rooms that it isn't as important to have nicer window treatments. I use them on all our bathroom windows in our primary home as well as in our airbnb property. They let in light while still providing privacy. So easy to install. Just measure, cut with a knife, and peel and stick. For windows side by side, make sure you use the same "side" when installing. The accordian fold is different depending on which side you hang them (either folding in from the top, or folding out from the top), but not too noticeable (see pic). Although the clips are easy to use, it is a bit of a deterrent when it comes to adjusting the height. I basically don't adjust mine at all because it's a bit of a pain.     • Perfect for a Quick Fix

I just moved into a home that has lots of windows and no window coverings. No curtains, no blinds, and no hardware to put any up. Covering multiple windows are very expensive so I prioritized the window and type of covering. By the time I got to my spare bedrooms, I did not want to spend a lot of money for rooms I didn't see using that often, but I still wanted the windows covered for privacy and I wanted it to look nice. I also needed it to filter some of the sun out since the sunlight coming in easily raised the temperature several degrees. Not wanting to drill any holes or get anything else professionally installed, and wanting something easy, quick, and reversible should I change my mind on what kind of window dressing I wanted, I looked for an easy fix on Amazon and found these. After reading the reviews and watching a few instructional videos, I measured my curtain and ordered one to test it out. Installation was easier than a breeze. After measuring and marking the blinds with a pen, I was able to easily cut it to size with a box cutter. Affixing it to my window frame was quick and it adhered strongly quickly. I let the blinds naturally extend themselves and after doing so, you would think they look almost identical to the blinds in the next room that cost me hundreds to have professionally installed. I was so impressed that I returned a different covering and ordered two more for another spare bedroom. I wouldn't necessarily use this in my master bedroom or the living room, but for windows you don't intend to open and close on a daily basis, these simply cannot be beat, especially for the price. ... show more
