Home: I need good coffee. Camping: I need good coffee. When camping I always boiled water for my Aeropress coffee in a regular old small sauce pot which took forever on my portable butane stove (at least 10 minutes). I just timed this at home and it took about 4 minutes. Pros: Fast boil Lightweight aluminum Small size (but can still fit on Gasone burner [pic]) Collapsible handle Silicone grips (shark fin!) Mesh storage bag 41 oz (1.2 L) - at least 4 servings Next day delivery Cons: Not 1.4 L due to the water level maxing at bottom of spout opening (if you read product description carefully it states the 1.2 L amount).     • Lightweight kettle, but probably for stove use only

Needed a bit larger kettle for heating up water, so purchased this one. Tested it on an alcohol/spirit stove, and it heated up just fine. It pours without making a mess. It stayed secure on the top of the stove, and heated up relatively quickly. There is a decent amount of plastic on both the top of the lid and the bail/handle. While it did ok with a stove, I really would be leery of putting this kettle into a fire where you could not control the heat as well - all of that plastic would probably melt. I also make sure the handle was staying in the upright position while heating, so it would not melt to the stove itself. The lid is pretty loose-fitting, so when you pour you have to either hold it with your other hand or use a finger from your hand holding the handle. Not a huge thing, but its not a snug fit. Comes with a storage bag, so that is nice. It's ok for what I need and the price. ... show more

This was a little smaller than expected, but actually did a great job for our camping trip. I used a small propane stove and the water came to a boil in a matter of minutes. We used the kettle to heat up water for ☕️ in our teardrop's outdoor kitchen. Somehow, I was expecting it to whistle when it was ready, which it did not do. To overcome this, just listen for boiling sounds and look for the steam emanating from the spout. It holds enough for about two cups of ☕️. It worked just fine. My family bought this for a camping trip. (Mostly for coffee ☕️😁), We used it with a backpack jet boil. The kettle was light weight and didn't take up much room, but still held enough water for all 3 of to have a cup of coffee. It balanced well on the small support legs of the jet boil and seemed quite sturdy as well. We were impressed that the open flames left no marks and didn't damage the kettle in any way.
