Description

Campsis x madame galen (trumpet Creeper 'madame galen' Full sun to part shade Zone 4-9 15-25' tall Trumpet Creeper 'madame galen' If you want hummingbirds to flock to your garden, Madame Galen Trumpet Vine is your plant. We know from growing this vine in our own gardens and watching how the hummingbirds go crazy over it. When Madame Galen is blooming, which is from mid-summer through fall, you could literally sit any day and watch hummingbirds visit and feed from the flowers from sunrise to sundown. The beautiful, eyecatching, deep orange to salmon-red trumpet-shaped flowers of this spectacular, fast growing vine are borne in large clusters, forming at the ends of branches. Exceptionally fast-growing to 25 feet in height/length, makes Madame Galen the perfect choice for growing on overhead structures such as arbors and pergolas, along the tops of deck rails and fences, and up tall posts and poles that can support the length of the vine. Madame Galen vine is tolerant of many soil types as long as they are fairly well-drained. The vine flowers heaviest in full sun, however will tolerate some shade in the morning or afternoon. This variety of trumpet vine (Campis) is more restrained and flowers much longer than the species: Campsis radicans.

  • Shipping fee?
The vine looks healthy & I am very happy with it. But why was I charged a shipping fee when I pay Amazon not to have shipping fees?

  • Extremely disappointed
Very disappointing, never have I paid $40 for an 8 inch twig, very misleading, don’t waste your money

  • Should not have been sent to me
3 inch stick/stem w one spot at top that may be a bud. Does not mean it's not going to make it tho. Very Big problem is it as a gash over halfway through the stick about 1 inch above soil line which makes me think it might not make it. Two stars for benefit of the doubt.

  • Happy purchase
Very pleased with this plant. It arrived in tact, although not sure how due to came in USPS package floating around in there. I think it would be safer if they at least taped the small pot to the box inside to prevent risk of breaking top of plant off. I give this purchase five stars because it was successful delivery. The plant itself is about 12” tall and healthy. This is the second one I have purchased through Amazon and came healthy. I added picture of one just received with tape measure next to it and image of one from last summer to show growth. I did not set one from last summer in spot until around August, so last start spreading it’s roots. ... show more

  • New growth started quickly.
When I received it there was only 1 little spot that looked like new growth otherwise it just looked like a bare stick. I've had it about a week and already have leaves and new growth in 4 spots. Very happy with my purchase.

  • Never grew
Watered it just like existing trumpet vine & honeysuckle. Still has original leaves but they have turned brown along with viney tendrils on the top of plant. So disappointed

  • Is sprouting new leaves
Arrived as just a stick but in 5 days after repotted and watered the plant gave me new leaves. I am amazed it is alive.
