I do like natural materials and was looking for a throw blanket for the sofa at home and came upon this cotton throw. I was more than happy to see the quality of this cotton throw when it arrived and love the overall look of the natural cotton fiber. The price of the cotton throw is might be somewhat high but you get what you pay for and this is definitely evident once you have this throw in hand and see for yourself the high quality. This throw is super soft. There is a beautiful basket weave design woven through it and it looks as gorgeous as it feels. The tassels are a nice touch and are attached on the edges so there is no risk of unraveling. I love that this blanket is made of cotton grown in Alabama and woven in Maine. The cost is higher, but the blanket is very durable and I expect it to last for years to come! The weight is light enough I can use it on cool summer nights, but warm enough I can snuggle around a campfire in the fall. It is a great picnic blanket and works wonderfully at the beach, as well. The size is perfect for sleeping under or wrapping around a couple sitting cozy together. The blanket is a brilliant, bright white. I was worried about using it and getting it dirty, but it is machine washable and cleans up quickly and easily. The manufacturer recommends cleaning it on cold and drying it on low. It is 100% cotton, but I did not notice any shrinking or weird stretching. I think it would dry beautifully outside, as well as get a fresh, breezy scent. If you dry it in a machine, be prepared to clean out your lint filter as the blanket sheds quite a bit after its first washings. I feel that this blanket is worth the extra cost due to the high quality. I expect to be using this blanket for decades to come! I love to support American made businesses. The look and feel of this throw blanket is very special. I wrap myself with it for meditation and use it when doing certain yoga asanas. I am getting a leather chair for my art room soon, I am absolutely laying this throw over it. They will compliment each other and look like a decorator added it. I haven't washed it yet. I want it to last a long time. I do place it outdoors occasionally so it carries a fresh air scent. I have cats, so I have to be careful when they notice the tassels. I love the color, softness and am enjoying using it nearly everyday. This would be a wonderful gift for a new mom or anyone you know that does yoga. It is a perfect decorator piece. ... show more

Red Land Cotton's Throw is very nicely made from soft cotton that is finished in a brilliant white. The blanket is woven with a beautifully patterned and dense weave. There is a fringe sewn onto the ends of the throw and it is attached separately, therefore if the fringe starts to unravel the throw will not. The throw is generously sized and perfect for one person to cozy up underneath. It's soft and warm, but not stiflingly hot. I washed the throw in my front load washer using cold water on the gentle cycle and dried it on extra low heat. It came out perfectly and only shed a little. With all of this said, you can get a blanket of equal feel and quality for a lot less, but what you are paying for here is the Alabama grown cotton and Maine weaving. You have to decide if the throw's origin is worth the extra cost. For me, it is. All in all... high quality and beautiful. ... show more

This blanket is such a pretty neutral color. It’s very soft as expected because of the cotton. It’s thicker than I thought which is so lovely. It’s a vanilla colored standard sized throw at 50x60”. Little label on the corner of the blanket which isn’t bad. The tassels are done well and have length to them. IMO I believe the tassels cheapen it in terms of aesthetics. It’s such a gorgeous luxurious soft blanket with high end stitching that the tassels just make it look downgraded a bit. I was a little disappointed in the way it was packaged as Well. For $180 which is outstandingly expensive for a blanket (maybe not for linen) it came in a plastic zip up bag (the same as a comforter would or sheet set) with 3 postcards about the business and cotton grown. It should have been wrapped in tissue paper nicely packed in a box or plastic whichever and possibly a ribbon. It’s a beautiful gift, but if I were giving it I would remove the original packaging and repack/wrap. Only My opinion. It seems like it will wash beautifully, but I’m unsure if it will shrink. I will probably air dry it as I do most of my throw blankets that are expensive. It is gorgeous and worth it. The little tweaks I mentioned are my opinion not a negative thing.
