  • Very nice
Replacement in our RV. The outside frame was a bit smaller height wise but still not enough to notice unless you look closely. Does what it says and can use like a convection over and microwave. Love it!

  • I would give RecPro 6 STARS if I could!!
We are full time Rv'ers We purchased this micro/convection oven back in November 2019. My wife still cooks every day. The convection oven does a great job!! Much better than the standard RV gas Stove. The Grill feature is also awesome. 11 minutes both sides for Perfect Grilled Cheese Sandwich's. Well, this past Tuesday, 8-4-20, for some unknown reason our oven just stopped working. No fuses or breakers tripped, just stopped working. I called RecPro. I got a wonderful young lady who listened to my story and asked about our purchase date. She put me on a brief hold, (less than 2 minutes) then came back with a very happy voice and said, Mr. D your all set, we are shipping you out a new one tomorrow morning. She verified our new address, phone and email. The next day I got an email with my shipping and tracking info. My new one came today via FedEx. 4 days!!! What a GREAT GREAT Company. It's nice to know that even in this crazy world we have Companies that still have a high degree of integrity and puts their customer needs first!! Thank You RecPro!!!! ... show more

  • VERY INACCURATE DESCRIPTION
The description for this unit is nowhere close to being accurate. First, it is not a "RecPro" brand (whatever that is) but instead is a High Pointe clearly marked on the front (that MAY be a plus, who knows, but the unit pictured in the listing bears no resemblance whatsoever to the unit we received) Compare the pictures with those of the listing. More aggravating though, was discovering that NO, it is by no means a DIRECT replacement for RV High Pointe units as promised in the headlines. We were so excited when we went to install the unit, only to find that it is wider, taller, AND deeper than the opening for the original unit in our Winnebago 2108DS (2021 model). Therefore, we had to cut the wood in the opening of our brand new trailer for the unit to slide in. The most frustrating part though, was finding that the entire unit is about 1 " DEEPER than the available space in our cabinet, meaning the trim piece would have been protruding from the cabinet face by the same amount. Having committed ourselves with a gaping larger hole in the cabinet, we were committed to making this work. We decided the only solution was to move the outer trim piece/installation panel further in on the unit by the missing inch of depth required. This took several hours, as we had to: 1. Remove the upper and lower metal plenums on the unit and trim 1 inch of each 2. carefully cut the upper row of louvers at the bottom of the trim panel to allow clearance for the actual base of the unit 3. Reposition the trim panel on the unit and re-drill mounting holes When all is said and done, the unit's installation looked pretty neat.. from eye height you don't notice the cutout in the lower trim (but visible in one of the photos). And the additional protrusion of the door wouldn't seem out of place to a casual observer. There is scarcely 1/2" of additional room in the cabinet to accommodate the trim piece side-to-side (see pictures again). This is a project NOT for the faint of heart, and will require some tools to accomplish (at minimum, a jig saw to cut the wooden opening, an angle grinder to trim the top/bottom plenums, and metal snips to carefully remove one row of louvers underneath the unit. Once the misery was over (and I DO mean misery.. couped up with my buddy in an unpowered/no-A/C unit with Texas sun beating down for a good 3 hours or so), the larger interior size of this unit will definitely be a plus, as we expect we'll likely never use the cumbersome, manual-light propane oven that came with the trailer. I did run an extension cord out and plugged in the unit. It seemed to go through the basic paces during a quick test, but of course we won't know if we got a lemon or not until the first time we take our trailer back out on the road and put it through its paces. Our low rating is based, primarily, on the grossly inaccurate description, which is likely going to cause some grief for other unsuspecting buyers, and in hopes that the seller takes heed and corrects the listing details, at which time I'll be happy to revise my rating. OH, finally no attachment screws were included for the trim--to-unit install (I had to cannibalize from the old unit) and the screws for the outer trim panel were shiny metal rather than subtle dark colored ones as used with our original same-brand unit Very frustrating ... show more

  • Couldbebetter
So far the oven works as expected. I would rate it higher if it wasn’t due to the first one shipped was defective. The door opening mechanism would not open the door. The packaging was also damaged. It looked like one that had been returned and just shipped out again.

  • Happy
I’m happy that a company still produces a microwave that fits in my 2013 Winnebago Access premier. The unit fit perfectly in the cabinet and the installation was easy. The only comment I have is about the border around the unit. The replacement is on solid piece that is attached with screws. There are no mounting screws provided. So hold on to you original hardware, which I did so this was not a problem for me. ... show more

  • Nice microwave/convection combo.
I was very pleased with this unit starting with the unboxing. It was well packaged and arrived in unblemished condition. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bulk of assembly was done in the factory. All I had to do was put on the outer trim and slide it into the opening where my old microwave had been. The fit is exactly what the measurements say, so it was a close fit and took two of us to hold it in place, get it plugged in and slid back into the cabinet, Less than ten minutes including attaching the faceplate. Then put in the six screw to hold it in place. We have used the microwave and convection so far and both worked flawlessly. Have not yet tried the grill feature. It perfectly replaced the unit that came in the rv, and as you can tell I am very happy with it. ... show more

  • Disappointing...
It was DOA, in that we could not open the door. Maybe stuck in child lock. By holding the unlock button, we could get the child-lock light to go out... but it was like nothing was connected to the opening "button." Worked with customer support, who were great, but could not determine a "hidden means" to open the door! Customer support was great in getting the return processed... it was back at the UPS Store an hour after we received it. The DISAPPOINTING part is that the product had obviously been repackaged and returned prior to our receiving it. The inside boxes had been retaped, there was not a shred of documentation included. A clear case of a defective product which had been returned, and then simply sent out to another honest customer. I'll look at what I can get via HD or Lowes before I consider Amazon again. ... show more
