The color is why I bought this, I admit. But also gside that, its a great oven. Its very quiet-i wonder if its on sometimes. Its 1000 watts which is perfect. Its easy to use if you e ever used a microwave. Which makes me so der why s9meone doesn't design the keypads better? The layout for one but the ability to differentiate buttons better. I never use “potato” “pizza” and all those settings. But theyre on top, for example. Lots of roomindidecand a nice bright light versus a dim one that does nothing. Theyre put there. Its easy to clean, too. One thing that drives me crazy is the loud “ker-chunk” when the doors closed. That could be improved in 2025. Overall though it’s a great value and oven. And great color. Edit: it’s now may 9, 2025. The clock no longer keeps remotely accurate time. It goes way off in a matter of minutes. It makes me wonder if the cooking timer is accurate now. ... show more

I love my new Farberware Countertop microwave oven! I bought the red, which looks amazing in my kitchen and matches some of my other appliances. It has 1,000 watts and fits nicely on my countertop - not too small/not too large. And the price was right - only $109. To set the timer on "seconds," push the "Time Cook" button, and then the number of seconds you want and push "Start" (it took me a minute to figure this out.) Now, the only thing I'm NOT crazy about, is that it beeps loudly, about 5 times in a row, at the end of cooking, but it I doubt I will be losing sleep over it. We have found this microwave to be efficient and reliable. It is the quietest microwave we have ever owned. I keep having to ask my family if it's running. That brings me to two of the only issues I have with it. First is that the buzzer at the end is difficult to hear unless you are close to it. Second, the dark interior is ugly.
