  • All in one ! All in one !

I’ve been using this TOSHIBA OptiChef microwave for a few weeks and honestly love how versatile it is. The air fryer function makes food crispy much faster than I expected, especially fries, nuggets, and reheated leftovers. The inverter technology heats food evenly without cold spots, which is a huge upgrade from my old microwave. The color screen is easy to use and gives the appliance a modern feel. I also like the smart sensor presets because they actually work pretty well for everyday meals. The size is perfect for a family kitchen without taking up too much counter space. Overall, this is a great all-in-one appliance if you want a microwave, air fryer, and convection oven combined. It looks sleek, works efficiently, and saves a lot of kitchen space. ... show more

  • It is easy to use and the quality is satisfactory. It is easy to use and the quality is satisfactory.
Size: Optichef Ultra-1.3 Cu.Ft.
When I opened the box, I cried out, which really surprised me. I didn't expect this microwave oven to be so beautiful. This microwave oven has a variety of functions, such as air fryer, boiler, baking, defrosting, ordinary microwave oven, etc. This type of microwave oven is new to me. I have used their regular microwave, baking and air fryer functions. So far, the results are quite good. For example, when I make an air fryer, some functions, such as chicken wings or French fries, have been preset, and I don't need to set the temperature or time to cook certain items. You must refer it to the manual again. I think this microwave oven is very convenient for me to prepare food. When cooking, I don't have to track the fire and grease. It's easy to prepare frozen meals. In addition, I think it's easy to clean and won't make a mess when preparing meals. So far, it has worked well for me. I'm still testing other functions of this microwave oven. ... show more

I absolutely love this microwave! I've been using it for a while. It has so many functions—you can heat food, bake, and my favorite feature is the air fryer. It's incredibly convenient. The interior is also spacious enough to fit a 16-inch pizza. It even comes with a child lock, which helps prevent children from opening it. That's a fantastic safety feature! ... show more

  • Does everything, but not necessarily well.
Size: Optichef Ultra-1.3 Cu.Ft.
I like its versatility; the fact that I have a microwave, convection oven, broiler, and air fryer in one unit really clears up a lot of space on my countertop; I am, however deeply skeptical of the 1100W output of the microwave. I am seeing significantly less performance than my old 1100W unit that this replaced; same times yield not-fully-cooked food. It's something I can work around, but I'm not thrilled about that. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY! Some great features but UNRELIABLE! One problem after another.
Size: Optichef Ultra-1.3 Cu.Ft.
UPDATE 1/3/26: LOOKS LIKE THIS THING IS DEAD ALREADY! I JUST BOUGHT IT IN AUGUST! No power coming through at all anymore after it started turning itself off after a few seconds of operation. Seams like making something steamy in there completely broke it. This should not happen with such an expensive appliance. I am beyond angry and really disgusted I've had this many problems with this device that so many people have recommended. My return window has closed so now I'm out over $400 for this extremely heavy piece of crap that I'm going to have to figure out how to dispose of and get it down off the top of my fridge! I am so mad right now that I really don't want to buy ANY other Toshiba branded items. Here was my previous review, until today... After owning this for 4+ month and having some problems along the way, AND having previously owned an Amazon Microwave/Convection/Air Fryer combo (it stopped working after 4 years!) I can assess pretty well what things are great about this combo oven and what is not. Overall assessment: I would love it if it didn't malfunction so much, had an actual product manual, and was just a little taller. The functions are excellent when its working, but the number of problems I've experienced with it are far too many for its short life thus far. The Cons: -Not easy to connect to the network. I am someone who understands technology, but this was a VERY finicky process. -You can't connect to your network unless you have a 2.4ghz network set up. -In order to get this to work with my phone and network at first I had to download their OLD app M SmartHome. At least then I could get the microwave connected to the network. Still couldn't control the oven -A month later I finally got the oven to work through the T-Life app after deleting the app entirely and then re-adding it. Was able to connect to network this time because at least the M-SmartLife app got me connected in order to set up T-Life. Very confusing. -The height inside the oven is obstructed by the broiler element, so you are SOL if you want to microwave something a little bit tall (Like pouches of pre-cooked rice or pre-cooked pasta.) This is very disappointing. -Another major disappointment: you cannot cook low and slow for any more than 1 hour and 40 minutes. I want to make carnitas or slow roasts at 275 for 3 hours! To do this I have to re-set it halfway through. -It is very heavy. Not easy to move to a different location (or to top of fridge where I have it.) -The air fryer basket is hard to clean. -I can't seem to make the microwave turntable not noisy. -The microwave is not as powerful as I'd hoped. It is fine, but feels more like 900w than 1100w. -I don't really like the click wheel. It goes up in 5 or 10 second increments only. I think I'd rather have a number pad. I guess I need to get used to using their preset "Auto Menu" settings once I memorize how many minutes each of those sets it to. -1/3/26 UPDATE: JUST FOUND OUT (4 and a half months after purchase): This thing is sensitive to foods that cause steam in the oven. At the moment my oven is not working AT ALL because some steam got into the parts and causes it to stop while cooking after just a few seconds, then, after doing what they recommended (leaving the door open to dry and unplugging for at least 10 minutes, in now no longer powers on at all!!!) I OFFICIALLY HATE THIS OVEN at the moment and sincerely hope it will start working again. I will update when it is working again. The Pros: -Love, love, LOVE the broiler. -The manual that came with it is NOT for this model and I can't find a manual specifically for this model anywhere. There are some features I still don't know how to use. -The air fryer is just as fast as standalone air fryers (this was NOT true in the Amazon oven at al.) This is a great air fryer. -It really does defrost more evenly that others I've tried. -Can be controlled via Amazon Alexa devices (if you can get it connected properly -- connection was easy in the Amazon oven. This one was not.) -Can be controlled in the T Life app via your phone and/or tablet -Although it is heavy, its actually less heavy than the Amazon oven. -Grateful for the add 30 seconds button In conclusion; This thing is really expensive, and there a few things I don't like about it for that price, but there are enough great things about it to keep it (now that I'm connected.) Hopefully I will become better friends with it in the next few months. If I feel happier with it in the future I will come back here and update the # of stars and add some more helpful tips. ... show more

I recently purchased this Toshiba air fryer microwave combo, and I have to say, it's been an absolute game - changer in my kitchen! The sleek black and stainless - steel design of this appliance is not only modern but also very stylish. It looks great on my kitchen counter and fits in well with my other kitchen appliances. The build quality is top - notch. The door has a solid feel when opening and closing, and the handle is sturdy, making it easy to operate. The combination of an air fryer and a microwave is pure genius. The microwave function works perfectly. It heats food evenly and quickly, whether it's reheating leftovers or cooking a quick meal. The air fryer function is equally impressive. I've used it to make crispy chicken wings, French fries, and even roasted vegetables. The results are comparable to what I'd get from a standalone air fryer, but with the added convenience of a smaller footprint in my kitchen. The control panel is intuitive and easy to navigate. There are preset functions for different types of cooking, which takes the guesswork out of it. For example, the "Air Fry" preset gives the perfect cooking time and temperature for common air - fryer dishes. The digital display is clear, and the buttons are responsive. Cleaning this appliance is also a breeze. The interior is smooth, and any spills or splatters can be easily wiped away. The removable crumb tray under the air - fryer function catches any debris, making it simple to keep the appliance clean and in good working condition.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase of this air fryer microwave combo. It has saved me counter space, made my cooking more convenient, and produced delicious results. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a multi - functional kitchen appliance! ... show more

  • Saving my kitchen space
Size: Optichef Ultra-1.3 Cu.Ft.
Finally a fantastic microwave that I can use to replace my old microwave that’s been on live support for surviving 8 years of usage. The old microwave does not the abilities that this microwave holds, even better that it has an equipped air fry function which it helps me save space to get an air fryer. The size fits perfectly in the small space I have on the kitchen counter, I tried it out by air frying my pizza, even without reading any manual guide I could already easily navigate through the buttons and understand how to use it, making it very friendly for me to introduce it to the elderly and children in my family. The noise level of the microwave is also soft rather than a high pitched “beeping” noise that my old microwave have which made it more pleasant to listen to and less irritating. Over love this microwave but a slight reminder, I pulled my microwave out a bit is for the reason that the shelves is to low and the heated wave from the air fryer might not have enough air circulation around that area to cool back down but if you have more room for your microwave this will not be a concern. ... show more

  • Not ready for prime timeInaccurate dimensions listed; smart features are not worth the price
Size: Optichef Ultra-1.3 Cu.Ft.
Critical Dimension Issue: I originally had to return this microwave because the Amazon listing incorrectly states the cavity width by 2 inches. As of this review, the product image has still not been corrected. Furthermore, the internal heating element reduces the vertical cavity height even more. Check your clearance needs carefully before buying. Kudos to Amazon for a seamless return process. Design and Hardware: This Toshiba appears to share the same manufacturer as equivalent Panasonic models, as their rear panels are nearly identical. Unfortunately, the physical interface is clunky, and the dial/start button is difficult to press. The upgraded screen looks nice but offers no real functional advantage over standard microwaves. Smart Features and Verdict: The Alexa integration is broken; after successful pairing, it only says "dot" when attempting to start a cycle and fails to operate the microwave. While the dedicated Toshiba app works fine, opening an app takes longer than just using the microwave keypad. Ultimately, the poor execution of these extra features ruins the value proposition. I do not recommend it. ... show more
