My Shorkie is 5 pounds and the small fits her nicely. I have a few tips to help with the comfort of this. Check before surgery to see if it fits, not the day of like I did. Put the onesie on inside out to keep seams from irritating the shaved areas. I also trimmed the neck binding a tad without cutting into the seam holding the binding to the onesie (it will still be stretchy), and also trimmed the binding on the hind leg openings as she had some irritation there after a day. This order comes with 2 onesies so you can have one on and get the other washed and ready to wear. Be sure and change daily when cleaning and inspecting the incision. The once has snaps and you can snap only as much as you need to. I left one snap loose at the neck and only snapped every other one, thinking loose would be more comfortable but still hold the once securely in place. It's working well for us. ... show more

This is the one! No need to remove for female dog to potty!!! BUT note it runs small so if you are close to the next size go up a size and try it on before surgery! The snaps are a bit difficult BUT once on it is great.
