I bought this suit for my dog when she had a bunch of very itchy bug bites on her belly that she wasn’t allowed to scratch. She originally had a cone on her neck, but she can’t eat, drink or sleep comfortably with the cone so I was looking for something to cover her belly, but also allow her to go to the bathroom without me taking the entire suit off. I like the lightweight material of this surgery suit because even though it was hot outside when my dog wore it and she has long fur, she was still comfortable and not overheating. The only issue I ran into with this was that the size I ordered was too long on my dog’s back so I ended up needing to undo the Velcro on the suit for her to go potty and not soil the suit. It was expected that it may not fit my dog properly because she’s a mixed breed so finding outfits that fit her perfectly can be hard sometimes. Instead of taking the entire suit off my dog, I just undid the Velcro, rolled the suit up a little and reattached the Velcro so it would stay rolled up while she used the bathroom. Overall I think this is a great product with multiple uses. I can see me using this for my dog just when she gets cold in the winter or something, along with if she ever needs some sort of surgery in the future

I absolutely LOVE this surgery recovery suit and so did my pup! I ordered a size large and it fit my 35lbs golden doodle perfectly! It was a much better option that having my poor pup wear a cone! My pup had surgery on her stomach so the suit kept the area clean and covered! I have washed and dried it a few times now and it's washed wonderfully! You do have to make sure to Velcro the leg straps or the fabric will snag while washing. It was very easy to put on my pup which is definitely a plus! It is durable but you have to make sure the Velcro doesn't touch the fabric or it will cause snags in the fabric (this is my only tiny little issue with it). I think it was a great value and I'd definitely buy again! The suit is super functional and cute on my pup and even though her incision has healed I still put the suit on her! Highly recommend!

I purchased this for my 33 lb border collie for after her spay. The suit fit very well, I purchased the size large. Material was very soft, easy to put on and off. The Velcro made it nice to be able to make the fit looser or tighter in length. There was plenty of room around her tummy so the material didn’t rub on her incision. What else I really liked was the fact the you could pull the suit up and Velcro over yer shoulders so it fit like a T-shirt when she went out for bathroom breaks. I rarely took the suit totally off unless it needed to be washed. Would definitely buy again!! No need for the cone of shame or donut around her neck!

After getting spayed as a 7 month old puppy, This has been a dream send for my Bichapoo as an alternative to wearing a cone. My dog is 9.6 lbs but her body is just a bit long with tallish legs. I’m keeping the size S because I think that the M might be too big. The material is very stretchy and she seems okay with the fit, so that’s the main thing! It’s very easy to put on and take off and it really does fit so that our kids can do their thing, Who would have known?! Happy satisfied customer and precious pooch!

This recovery suit works well and is easy to put on and take off. I ordered the large for my 32 lb cattle dog. It fits perfectly. I recommend measuring for the fit you need . My vet tech said she loves when owners use these instead of cones. The dog is more comfortable and the protection is better.

My dog had surgery resulting in stitches on her shoulder. The "cone" was not necessary because she couldn't get her head around that tight to lick it. But, the stitches were in the perfect spot for her hind leg to scratch. Oh NO! I bought this the night of the surgery once I realized the problem, and it arrived very fast. Thank goodness! It lasted almost 5 days. I was home for 3 of the days, but had to be at work the last two. When I could supervise her, I could make sure the wound was covered. However, she kept shaking, like she wanted to "shake it off". By my second day at work, she managed to rip off the back and tear it up. I have no idea where the velcro is???? By the way, the velcro is strong! This is a 56 lb cattle dog, and I think I should have sized up a little. The overall body size was good at XL but I think it was too snug around her shoulders. She has a poofy "lion's mane" fur pattern there, and the thread of the stitches may have been catching on the fabric too, maybe causing her discomfort? She hasn't posted a complaint to social media yet, so I don't know what her deal was.... The fabric itself was nice enough. It was soft like baby clothes, and thin so I don't think she was too hot. (It's been in the 80's here recently.) The zipper made it easy on/off. I did modify how I had her wearing it, and didn't wrap it around her hind end - that way she could potty as needed without wardrobe drama. If you can provide supervision, this is perfect. If you can't be there, and you have a stubborn diva dog.... well, I warned you about my experience. She's been a few days "naked" and has scratched a few times, causing bleeding. But we are over a week into the healing so things are improving.

My poor kitty had a ruptured abscess in his private area which was difficult to keep clean and hard to keep him from licking. This size small suit fits great for a 15 lb cat and has some good stretch. You can also “criss-cross” the velcro tabs in the back which give a snug fit and keeps the wound covered but still allows them to still do their business. I recommend buying extra suits because even though the back end was open to do his business it still gets soiled. But such a better alternative than the “plastic cone of shame” they wanted him to wear for 10 days. Highly recommend.
