  • They perform mostly as advertised
Style: AA Batteries
My early review of these batteries is they perform mostly as advertised. I purchased 1 four pack AA 1.5v cells. Charged them using the supplied 4x usb charging cable, connected to a 10W charger. The top connection is less awkward than the side connector variety, but plugging them in is still a bit fussy. I tried them each in a lumintop 1x AA flashlight. They all worked, but failed to provide enough current to enable the highest power setting. They are advertised to limit output to 2A and that seems about right. (Freshly charged Eneloops can deliver the highest output). I tested the batteries in my charger, and they produced a bit over 1800mAh using a 500mA discharge rate, all staying at about 1.5V throughout the test. I then recharged all 4 using the supplied cable, and recharged them in a couple of hours. I would recommend these for voltage sensitive applications that do not draw more than 2A. I am planning to use them in Walky-talkies that don’t work well with lower voltage NIMH cells. Given the expense and current limitations, I’m sticking with Eneloops, where possible. However, these are a good option for voltage sensitive applications, and for traveling, where hauling along a charger might not be convenient. A couple of other things to consider: I can’t comment on the self discharge rate yet. When you use, store, or charge, you have no idea what the actual state of the cell is. So bring spares, because your device likely won’t tell you when the cells are almost depleted. ... show more

  • These work where NiMh do not
Style: AA Batteries
I have an insulin pump which runs on a single aa battery. NiMh rechargeable batteries are 1.2 volt where normal alkaline batteries are 1.5v. The lower voltage of more traditional rechargeable makes the pump think that the battery is dead even though it's full. These batteries here are 1.5 just like the old-school alkaline and this makes electronics happy. Think about this... A remote that requires 2 aa batteries runs off of 3 volts. With old aa rechargeable it's only getting 2.4volts. Electronics requiring even more voltage get shorted even more as the battery requirements go up. ... show more

  • AA work well but...
Style: AA Batteries
The charging is a bit cumbersome, I use the AA in my mouse, and keyboard as well as tv and cable remotes, haven't had any problems with this use, I bought the AAA's to use in my headlight that I use for work, Regular/low end batteries I get 6+ hrs of use, highend batt about 10 hrs, with this on a full charge barely 2 hrs. for the money not worth it... ... show more

  • Worth The Money
Style: AA Batteries
These batteries are truly exceptional. On the left, I've opted for Eneloop Pro batteries, and on the right, I've chosen lithium Pownergy batteries. As evident from the images, there's a notable disparity in their performance. Each autumn and Halloween, my wife brings out these candles, and as a result, we've amassed a drawer brimming with used lithium and alkaline batteries over time. I wholeheartedly recommend these batteries if you're seeking a power boost beyond what the standard Eneloop Pro batteries offer, although I still hold the latter in high regard, in my personal assessment. ... show more

  • Easy to recharge
Style: AA Batteries
I'm starting to replace all of my NiMH rechargeable batteries with lithium rechargeable batteries, mostly because I'm tired of my devices telling me my batteries are low even though they are charged. That doesn't happen with lithium rechargeable batteries. Plus, I don't need a separate charger to charge these batteries, just a standard USB cable will work. Of course, the charging cable that came with the batteries can charge 4 batteries off of one USB port. I haven't used these batteries in a heavy duty application yet so I can't comment on their performance. But I can say that their performance in light duty applications such as remote controls, lights, e.t.c. are similar to alkaline batteries. ... show more

  • Excellent batteries!
Style: AAA Batteries
So easy to charge. I use these in my blood pressure cuff. They last months on a charge, and are so easy to charge on ANY USB port: small solar charger, car phone adapter, computer, etc. If you need reliable batteries, buy these!

  • Worked as AA battery
Style: AA Batteries
Checked actual capacity and voltage. Energy was 2645mWh with 0.5A discharge current, and last 3.5 hours with 1.51V. As advertised, voltage was very consistent and it didn't fall until last seconds. I tried 1.0A discharge, but characteristic was similar.

  • Not for my headlamp, 1hr life
Style: AAA Batteries
The hassle factor on these is pretty high. They take longer to charge than they last in my headlamp. They take over an hour to charge on a 10w charger and they last an hour or less in my light. Dollar store batteries last longer. I think it's the nature of the technology but it's still a problem for me. I do high volume delivery work and I don't have time to change the batteries during a shift. It's also a pain to have to plug in each battery with the delicate little micro USB port, especially since you have to do it so often. I wanted to have a set of 6 to rotate them through the light, charging 3 at a time in my car while I used the other set. But that's FIFTY BUCKS. And I'd only get up to 2 hours of use, and have to charge 8 batteries every day. Many, many, many items use 3 batteries so they should sell slightly discounted sets of 6 in my opinion. I'm not buying another set of these. Maybe there's a more suitable application but they don't work in my headlamp (up to 300 lumen Energizer). Also these batteries don't slowly lose voltage so you don't get much of a warning that they're dying, but on my light they flicker violently when they're almost done. So there is a warning on some devices, and the light is still usable for a couple minutes, which is good. But it could cause issues for people who need to avoid flashing lights. ... show more
