I wear a 7.5, but I had to get this in an 8 as my feet are short but wide and this shoe has a narrow shape. This worked out well as my foot is snug but not constricted, and the wide calf fits my 17-inch calves perfectly. Not much wiggle room and no stretch in his area, so if you have calves that are 17.5in or larger, I'd pass on this shoe. Find something with garter material. I know if I wear thick, tall boot socks these will be too snug, so stockings or leggings with crew socks will have to do for these. The ankles are a little baggy but that's expected; if you're looking for a clean slim line that makes your legs look long and sleek, this isn't going to be perfect, but it works for me. The heel is the perfect height as it gives my legs a great silhouette without ax excessively high heel. Over all it's exactly what I'm looking for. ... show more

The boots were 70 dollars and did not even come in a shoe box! The zipper is cheap and its obvious that the "leather" will peel. The boots look very poor quality and not worth the price. Super disappointed as they were part of a christmas gift.

I have always had issues finding boots for wide calf, I bought these based on the reviews and pictures posted. I am glad I did I tried them on and they feel comfortable and no need to break in. I struggle to find knee high boots that fit my calves. These do zip up with my calf size, though I can’t wear pants with thicker material with them (leggings and skinny jeans only with thinner calf socks). The soles are very soft with a comfortable heel height and I have done a full day’s walking in them. I am normally a size 6.5 wide and sized up to a 7 with the reviews: I could honestly go to size 7.5 for some extra room and imagine these would still fit okay. They hold up okay in water but are not fully waterproof. My only complaint is that with my calf size the zipper sometimes bunches at my ankles and can rub the skin there, but this is fixed by just pulling them up. I love the style and fit. But they do run small as other reviews have said. Another review said they are kinda bulky at the ankles which I also found to be true. One of my calves is about 18" and the boot *just* fits but is tight and sometimes I have to leave the top inch or so unzipped. Overall if I wanted another pair of taller boots like these I would go for a flatter sole but that's just my personal sensory preferences. Comfort I think is subjective. I don't find them to be comfortable for more than 4 or 5 hours of sitting and standing. But again I usually wear a lower heel and this time I wanted to have cuter boots that look dressier. I don't know how they hold up to winter temps yet, but I think I'd wear snow boots till I got to work or wherever, then change into these boots. Because Wisconsin life. ... show more
