I really love these lights; they were a great buy! They get plenty bright, charge quickly, and hold the charge for a long time. I use them above my bed for reading at night, but they have so many practical uses and they look great too. I really haven't used the different colors much, but the price point was about the same for these ones which change colors as it was for others which didn't, so I went for it. They'll magnetize and stay put with just about any metal (not just the mounts that they come with), so they'll be convenient to have around in the case of power outages as well; you can just set them someplace or you can stick them to your fridge, etc. Highly recommend. ... show more

This is a super cool modern lamp that has a lot of potential due to the portability factor. Obviously they would work quite well next to a bed but the multiple brightness, position, and color options also allows you to use them for up lighting or down lighting (ie you can spin them). The “wood” is definitely a walnut brown and the photos are somewhat misleading due to the light color having an effect on the wood. It is definitely a brown walnut finish so don’t get it if you need a lighter wood tone. The wood is also just a stain with not the nicest grain so it isn’t an especially high end wood finish here. One of the main features for this lamp is that it has a magnetic attachment so you can remove it from the base as needed. The base should be screwed into the wall though if you plan on removing it. They give you an adhesive mount option but I would guess that you’d eventually rip the mount off if you pull the lamp off enough times. So you can basically take this set of lamps from bedside (or whatever) use and then use them as portable accent lighting. Pretty neat. They say there are 15 “colors” but I think excluding the different color temps for “normal” light it’s more like 9 or 10 non-white colors. What’s nice is that when you power it back on it remembers your last color so you don’t have to get blasted by a white light if you have it set to red for example. ... show more

These sconces are a great way to add a light where a wall outlet doesn't exist and you don't want to run new electrical wires. The variable light colors are nice and the ability to brighten and dim them is helpful if you're reading in the evening and don't want bright light right before bed. We installed these next to bunk beds for our sons so they could have some light at night before going to bed. That is where the control issue comes in. They are both controlled with one remote. You don't have to use the remote because all the functionality works with buttons on the light itself - one button powers on and off, the other button changes the color of the light and if held, dims and brightens. But because we installed these by each one of the bunks, and each child wants to control his own light, we aren't able to use the remote. Something to keep in mind if you're installing them on each side of a bed and you and your spouse/partner want to control them separately. Controlling with the remote is much easier than reaching up to the light each time. Battery life is good - we've been using them at night for 6 days and still haven't needed to recharge. The charge cable that come with each light plugs into a USB charger (which you'll need to provide), but the cables that come with them are very short. The cable is fine if you plan to take them off the wall to charge (they attach to the base with a magnet and pop on and off), but my suggestion would be to get a couple of longer charge cables, so you can run it to a charger in an outlet close by and charge them on the wall. We did that and it will make it very easy to charge them when the battery dies. Plus depending on how you install the base (it can be installed with 3M command strip material or screwed in) pulling them off the wall to charge each time will put more wear and tear on the wall bracket. The cable to charge is just a basic USB to USB C cable, so very easy to replace with longer ones. Overall these are a hit with our sons - they love the ability to have light in their bunk and they can customize the color and brightness. ... show more

This rechargeable light is a beautiful addition to our entrance alcove. However, the functionality really "shone" during a recent storm where we lost power. Instead of reaching for the candles, this light was super useful in the dark as it did is battery-powered! We also can use it on-the-go when taking the dog out to relieve himself in the yard after dark. Even when off, it has a classy "oak" look, has customizable light colors, and is adjustable in any direction when attached to the magnetic base. Super nifty and useful! ... show more
