Apparently, Energizer is moving away from their lithium ion batteries, as they are hard to find locally, plus I was hoping someone would create rechargeable lithium ion batteries, and discovered these rechargeable ones on Amazon. I have tried them now and am very impressed with their power and longevity, along with their better price, but it’s still early in their life. The charger case is attractive, efficient, and well-made, but you need to make sure each battery makes good contact as you shut the lid. You must supply your own charger and cord (USB-C on both ends). It is a smart charger, so you can leave it plugged in without risking overcharging. You will probably want to get some additional AAA and AA batteries—just make sure to get the same exact batteries that come with this charger, so that you will have a full complement of batteries in the charger and so that all your batteries match, since they are often to be used in combination in your devices. Bonus: the charger makes a nice green-glowing night light in my bedroom!

I noticed that some people were complaining that the LED s are confusing, and they can't tell which batteries are charged and not charged. I'm confused that they are confused because it is very easy to tell which batteries are charged. They start out red and then turn green. What could be easier? Besides , who you need to do is leave it plugged in until they are old charged. I think this is a very clever system and my only complaint is that the charging wire is a little bit on the short side.

I like the idea of not purchasing more batteries for one time use and then disposal. It takes a couple of cycles of charge-discharge for batteries to reach full use potential but it’s not a drawback. My original need was for AA’s for my Blink cameras but appreciate the versatility of AAA’s for lots of use for other electronics.
