Good price, great product so far. Customer service isn't all that great though. Very easy to install. I found out that the pair that I purchased didn't have matching locks. I tried to find where I could purchase matching locks on their site... nothing like that even offered. I sent an email asking how to get them. They said that they would ship them out free of charge. Over 5 weeks later and two emails... no locks and no email reply to the last request. I even offered to purchase them if they would only show me how or just plain take my money and ship them. I hope the cases hold up as I can see no help from their customer service down the road. No longer eager to purchase the tonneau cover from them now. After third contact I received my keyed alike locks, free of charge. Easy to change out and they work great! Dec 15 update... LOVE THESE THINGS!!! They are the best fit for me and allow the most flexibility of any truck cargo storage design that I have ever had or seen before. I go through the car wash once a week... every week since June 15, never a leak. They hold just enough and they are easy to remove at a second's notice. The only down sides I have seen so far are that they do interfere with built in cargo ties downs near tailgate and they do block the light from the LEDs under my bed rails so you cannot see into the compartments with the bed lights at night. I can work around that. BEST TRUCK ACCESSORY PURCHASE I HAVE MADE SO FAR! 6 Feb 16 Update - Found the only real product flaw that I have seen so far. The locks will let water in (even with those flip up covers) and when the temps drop below freezing you cannot unlock them. Broke a key like it was made of cardboard finding this out. The locks should be side mounted to stop water from settling in them.

This is a real handy item. It is easy to install, and operates smoothly. Took 15 minutes to install, although I would suggest that you pre-drill the holes for better alignment. I can lift the lid while the box is stationary against the side of the truck bed, and it swings out over the tailgate with ease. My retractable tonneau cover is not in the way at all. I gave this box five stars even though it came damaged. There was a big crack in the lid. I did not notice the crack until I had installed the box, as the cracked lid was not an impediment to its installation. But, as it lifts right off its hinges, when the replacement box arrives I can just lift the broken box off its hinges and install the new one in about 30 seconds. There was no problem in ordering a replacement box for the broken box. You might want to get the box's inside measurements. I was hoping to store my tool case in there but the tool case was too big. My trailer hitch and insert (23 pounds) fit in the box with space left over. It seems incredible, but the darned thing will probably hold 75 pounds. I am evaluating whether I should buy one for the other side. It is a bit pricy considering the amount it holds, but it will hold a lot of tools, and would have held my tool box had the tool box been configured differently. The replacement arrived today, safe and sound. It took less than a minute to exchange the boxes, including unloading my trailer hitch. I still highly recommend, and caved in and bought one for the other side. Arrives in four days.

Seems like a good piece. I mounted mine tonight and promptly overloaded it. I spent about 45 minutes on it, including getting out my tools, clean up, putting tools away, stuffing the box full of junk, and figuring out where to keep the key. I mounted mine about 3/4" higher than suggested (as high as it would good and still fit the contour of the truck bed-to-box mount) to have a bit more underneath clearance (about 2-1/2"). At this height it stills blocks the factory tie down point, a drawback, but the box can be easily removed and temporarily placed elsewhere in the truck bed if it's needed. I do not use a tonneau cover, but at this height I believe it would still clear tonneau mounts. Latch mechanism worked fine with no adjustment. Lid does not open completely when the box is latched, but it does open enough to quickly grab something out of it without opening the tailgate and swinging the box. There may have been a design change at some point; one reviewer stated his tray slides and uses metal hooks to carry it; mine does not slide, but fit into notches which limits it to one position (forward, over the wheelwell). I do not see this as a problem. One mounting tip: I stacked a 2x4 and a 1x4 under the box to locate the mounting bracket where I wanted it, using a silver marker to mark the hole locations, and then center punched and pre-drilled the holes instead of relying on the self-drilling screws. This way I could squirt a dab of RTV into the holes before inserting the screws to prevent rust. I've used this method on other jobs and it works well. My only concern will be possible rattles. There is no way to tighten the latch mechanism. Until I drive around for a few days with the box mounted, I won't know for sure. It seems to be solidly locked as it should, but the height of the box in relation to the single latch gives it some room to 'wiggle'. The amount of stuff I put in the box may be making this worse, but lightening the load could possibly have the same effect when hitting road bumps. We shall see. I'll recommend it to anyone. I think I will like it. My 2007 GM truck, even with extended cab, doesn't have much under-seat storage room.

Overall, I like it... but it's far from perfect. The swing-out functionality is good, and more useful than the fixed-mount toolboxes. Plus, you need the ability to remove it to store stuff. I chose the passenger side to start - the drivers side covers factory GM trailer receptacles - though I may add the drivers side if the passenger side goes well. Caveats: 1. On the GM trucks (and perhaps others) there is NOT 48" of room between the swing cases if you go with two, so you can't move sheet goods without removing them. With only one installed, there is BARELY enough room to move sheet goods. 2. I worry about the strength of the plastic. The first one came with a huge crack in it from Amazon despite the factory box being perfect, and it seems pretty thin considering a lot of people plan on putting things like receivers and balls in it. I would think it would be fiberglass-reinforced plastic, structural foam, or similar to handle this. 3. The same box is used for long and short-bed trucks, so it leaves a bunch of unused space between it and the wheel well in a long-bed truck, and to be honest the mechanism probably wouldn't handle a whole lot more length to it so maybe not a bad idea. 4. The installation is easy, but I hated the idea of cheap self-tapping screws. I used stainless steel rivet nuts and stainless steel button-head screws instead (M6) and it looks a lot better, and if it ever had to be removed the stainless rivnuts could be easily painted to match the bed or bedliner. 5. Being empty plastic, the whole thing rattles and slams with every bump. There's a lot of play/flexibility in the mount and box itself so the box vibrates around empty, then add everything in it rattling around if it's not soft. I am going to try bedliner inside to quiet it down and reduce the pounding. Overall, it's the best solution for storage in that area, but it could be significantly improved.

Easy to install. Roomier inside than it looks. There is a small sliding tray and a small fixed shelf inside but for organizing, that's it ! But it's deep so you can fit alot inside. I have to keep the swing hinge and the release mechanism lubed. It gets slightly sticky with a little oxidation. Especially after road salt gets on it. I just spray it with a little WD40. Don't let that be a deal breaker though. Also I do have alot of weight in mine. Between the trailer hitch balls , inverter, straps and wrenches, I probably have it overloaded. This thing can hold alot of weight.The lid works fine as long as you don't let the tray slide over towards the key latch. Only drawback is that the unit MUST be swung away from the side and towards the tailgate, to open the lid. If you try to open it without swinging it, the lid hits the bedrail and only opens about 40%. It's 100% watertight. I actually keep a 2000W inverter in mine among other things and no moisture gets in even after car washes. Also its up off the bed so small stuff will slide underneath. It can be padlocked so it can't be removed. Or you can just pop it off the hinges and put it inside somewhere if you're worried about theft. I've done that a few times. It is awkward to carry though especially with a little weight in it. I highly recommend this product. Very satisfied.

Got this for my ‘07 Silverado 2500 HD. Shipped to me quickly. Packaging was a bit roughed up but contents were perfect. After I found the correct installation guide (SC100P), installation was a snap. Took less than 30 min to actually install it. There are installation videos on YouTube as well. I’d recommend reviewing both the guide and video prior to install. I’m liking it so far. We’ll see how it does with time and use. Recommend this item.

I installed this in the bed of my 2016 Sierra 1500 extended cab. Installation was simple, but I found it helpful to cut some wood spacers to position it. The instructions didn't tell what drill bit to use for the screw holes (I guess they assume that the screws will drill themselves in--I didn't trust that). I used a 5/32" bit. The instructions could have been clearer, but most of the installation is intuitive. The pivot and lock mechanisms work smoothly. It doesn't have massive capacity, but enough to clear out some of the interior clutter.

Pay attention to the item description- there are TWO separate and specific versions of this item. There is a Passenger side model and a Driver Side model- they are not interchangeable. The price seems a tad high, but this is a solid and well made unit I love this tool box- even though I ordered the wrong side. It's roomy enough for common tools, the lock is (reasonably) secure, and it's easy to install ( as long as you have a power drill and don't mind drilling into your truck bed.) It folds snugly into the wasted space behind your wheel well, but is easily accessible from the tail gate. The design is inherently waterproof. It sits well below the level of the side wall, it's comparable with bed covers such as my Back Flip.
