I should have gotten a small, got a medium but it fits fine , luckily the straps goes across each other as seen in photo. I'm 5'8, 150lb, 30 waist pants size. A small would have been perfect but I don't have time to exchange it. Overall I've bought many back straps on Amazon, probably 6-7 ones which cost $15 to $30. This one is probably the most expensive one which I'm glad I had made bought because the quality on it is superior. I've seen more pricey ones but I can't see any back strap any better than this. The support with the many plastic harness inside feels great, and not metal like the one I had. With the metal plates inside, you can't lay down and work out because it will hurt your back. Your back is the most important bone in your body, I'd think spending a few more dollars is worth it! I got this for work as I do hard labor as well. Hope this helps.

A recent critical illness has left me with severe low back pain for the past month. I received a spectacular back brace in the hospital, but it’s bulky and cumbersome with extended use. When I saw this back brace from Rake offered, I had to give it a try. And I’m genuinely grateful I did! Five stars simply aren’t enough to express my complete satisfaction with Rakiie’s back brace! It is extremely lightweight and attractively designed. The breathable 3D knitted fabric is incredibly comfortable, allowing for all-day wear without any heat buildup or skin irritation. This is a vast improvement over my other brace that, through no fault of its design, puts pressure on areas I receive regular injections as part of my therapy. My other brace definitely provides more comprehensive support, but at the expense of it sometimes feeling bulky and restrictive. This brace’s lightweight nature is a huge plus, as it doesn’t add extra weight to my already sore back. It’s so comfortable, I often forget I’m wearing it! The adjustable compression straps are a fantastic feature. The dual straps allow for a perfectly customized fit, ensuring a secure and snug feel without any pinching or discomfort. The ease of adjustment is invaluable throughout the day. However, the true standout is the removable 3D massage pad. This ingenious feature provides targeted deep lumbar point massage, effectively relieving strain on my mid- and low-back muscles. When the brace arrived, I was impressed by how well it was packaged and how light it felt. I’ve tried a few back braces before, and let’s just say some of them felt like I was wearing a whole suit of armor. This one? Not at all. The design is sleek and minimal, with a black and green color combo that doesn’t scream “I’m wearing a back brace” (which, let’s be honest, can be a bit embarrassing). The material is soft but sturdy, and the mesh part felt breathable, which was a huge plus, no one wants to feel like they’re wrapped in plastic while trying to go about their day. The 8 stays (which are basically vertical strips inside the brace for added support) were something I hadn’t experienced before, and I was curious to see how they’d work. They’re flexible but strong, and I liked that they weren’t too rigid. This was all about finding the balance between support and comfort. I started wearing the brace during work hours, when my lower back pain usually peaks from sitting at a desk all day. I’m not the kind of person who wants to be constantly adjusting things, so I was hoping this back brace would just stay in place and do its thing. The adjustable straps made it easy to get a snug fit without feeling like I was being suffocated, and the lumbar pad (which is basically a cushion in the back) hit exactly where I needed that extra support. It felt like the brace gently lifted and supported my lower back, but wasn’t over-the-top about it. It didn’t completely restrict movement, which I was worried about since I didn’t want to feel like I was walking around in a straightjacket. I wore it for hours at a time, whether I was sitting, standing, or walking around, and the comfort level was surprisingly good.
