Took about 45 minutes to install. If I can do it anyone can do it. I like how each panel locks down and with a pull on the wire easily unlatches. Not water proof, more water resistant. After running through the car wash is see a little water at certain seams in my bed liner. Nothing to worry about. No large leaks or pools of water. The only reason I gave only 4 stars for value for money is because of price. Even though it seems well made, I think it's a bit overpriced. I’m very happy with the product. I’ve never owned a cover before so this was all a first. The installed product is sturdy and well built. It took me a while to get the rails installed properly. Once I figured out how to properly attach them I’ve “uninstalled” and reinstalled it twice trying ti get it in the right position. I may end up doing it one more time just to get it in the exact right spot. It maybe needs to move back towards the tailgate another 1/2 inch. The top fits great on the sides but the front to back has to be positioned pretty exact. The bed is definitely not water tight but only minimal water in a storm. Shortly after I installed the unit there was a bad storm I had to drive through. I was curious and checked the bed. After a downpour for 20-30 minute drive there was probably 2-3 cups of water in the bed. Overall pretty happy with the small amount of water, not super happy that it was kind of everywhere. Still most suitcases would be fine given the relatively small amount of water. ... show more

Undercover Flex bed cover looks to be quality made. This is a 2-person installation. One plastic catch piece broken in shipping. How can I get it replaced?

The Undercover Flex is a pretty functional and durable tonneau cover. The cover fits the 2022 Ford Maverick, as stated on the title, and isn't too difficult to install. Once installed, the cover has a very nice glossy look and is very sturdy, keeping out any thieves. The locking mechanism keeps the cover closed tight on every section of the bed so it becomes difficult for anyone else to open. But, even though it functions as intended, there are a few things that were off about the product. First thing that really got to me was the cover stand holder. The stands that can keep the cover up for 100% bed access works great, but the holder for it is too stiff that I ended up having to use two hands to yank it out. This resulted me in cracking one of the joint cups, which isn't too bad as long as I don't damage the other. Secondly, the clamp placement near the tailgate needs to be placed at least 1 inch closer to the bed. This bed cover size was intended for the Maverick, but the clamping area near the tailgate cannot be used due to the gap on the sides becoming too narrow near the tailgate. Lastly, the package was pretty lacking. The cover was wrapped in some bubble wrap and inside a box and the other parts required for the assembly were inside a sealed bag. The side rails were rather neatly placed inside another box next to the cover. When I opened the box, the parts were already spilling out of the bag which had a tear. and the Underflex logo was on a random place due to it falling off and some parts of the rubber on the cover had 2 small deformities (due to melting?). I believe that Underflex should take some consideration into at least the first two issues I stated since the first is an inconvenience to the user and the second is a design flaw.
