I wouldnt say I am any sort of hardcore vehicle guy, but I've now owned two sets of these for two different trucks and installed both myself. Very nice product, unfortunately Amazon says it fits my truck 2018 to 2023,unfortunately I have a hemi engine, and this only fits a diesel engine

2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn Megacab. This has been an adventure. I read the reviews and looked at a lot of you tube videos to make sure I got a good start. I got the xl steps since I thought it might give a little lower to the ground for my wife. The first part of the install went fine. Drilling the 4 small holes and setting tap nuts was a snap. I did get some flat black paint and really coated the holes good to keep out the rust. Mounted the rock rails to the brackets as far forward as my trim would let me. Then mounted the motor brackets and steps. That's where problems started. Steps would not nest. Took back off twice to adjust. Finally had to remove the front wheel well trim completely and take a utility knife and trim it down. One small step at time to make sure I did not trim to much. Finally got the trim cut and the rock rails forward far enough to put all back together. I had to go get new bolts for the steps as the Allen heads stripped out the second time I took them off. Finally got steps all together and they nest good. In and out just fine. I am dreading the wiring next. Just did not want to deal with that today. I hope that part is straightforward. As much room as there is under that truck, I am not sure why amp did not just put the controls in a waterproof box and mount it underneath somewhere. Then I could just run a hot and ground up to battery and the two wires to go inside truck. Easy peasy. I am going to have that wiring harness everywhere under the hood and trying to find a good place to bring it down on each side and be out of the way. I just hope it all works when done. I would hate to have to remove this thing for a return. 10 days left to return. I waited to start till my son came in for the 4th. ... show more

Great product and great look. If the instructions were better for the installation I would have given 5's across the board. The steps are manufactured very well with good fit/finish and work great. The instructions needed to be much clearer with emphasis on how to do the final fit/clearance procedures. After much frustration with the install, I contacted Tech support. They informed me how to complete the install and get the fit/clearance for the steps. Had the directions and/or Youtube video been better I would have completed the install much quicker. BL-Call tech support and have them send you the procedure for doing the final install steps. It will save you hours of frustration. ... show more

Drivers side motor installed wrong. Took several hours to correct. Wiring harness not great. Passenger side wiring not long enough for puddle lights, had to get wiring and extend. No directions with product, found a YouTube video to do install. I'm a seasoned at home mechanics still took all day to complete. ... show more
