I bought this in March and I just got around to assembling it today. Yeah, I know. I'm 70. Anyway, it was simple and straightforward to assemble by myself. It was a bit heavy for me once pieces came together, but not extremely so. I managed. Once together, the chair is solid and a great size. I had a large, leather office chair in the office, but I am transitioning that room to a guest room/sewing room, while keeping my desk. This chair will be perfect if there is something I need to do at the desk, or if I am sewing. Seems like it'll last. I'm happy, so far! ... show more

    • actually a good chair
I’ve gotten a couple chairs off of Amazon and they all start off nice but end up falling apart or breaking in someway. This one has by far been the best. The padding is thick, but firm, which is nice for my lower back pain. I use this chair as a sewing chair and it’s been great.

    • Solidly put together. Quite a bargain. Does not look cheap.
This replaced a 30+ year high-end Scandinavian desk chair which had reached the end of its repairable life. It is not a lightweight, and it has chromed legs and accents. Casters appear to be adequate. Seatback and seating surfaces are well padded, and upholstered with what appears to be a breathable synthetic fabric. Assembly instructions were reasonably clear. My only caveat is that I would like the seating to be 2/3 inch higher, but chair will not adjust further(presently at 20 5/8" seating height). ... show more

For $150, the seat foam is ridiculously low quality. It sinks after 30 or so minutes and that alone ruins all of its nicer features like low end height, comfortable back support and so on.
