Exclusively designed, the Vivid Flame Grand Electric Firebox is 30% larger than our standard firebox and mimics the look of a real fire, but does not require a chimney or vents. Features include infrared LED technology, six thermostat settings and dynamic glowing embers. Available in a chestnut barnwood finish.

    • Perfect for a Cabin
After lots of searching and comparing electric fireplace models on many websites, we chose the Gunnison by RealFlame. This is our second RealFlame purchase with our first unit running smoothly in our primary home. We have a secondary mobile home "cabin" in the forest and this model fit our decor perfectly. It is massive, extremely sturdy, and provides a focal point for the entire great room. The color is darker than the "chestnut" listed in the description. I would call it more of a "dark walnut." The storage compartments disguised as posts for the firebox are ingenious! This is where we store the remotes for the television, the light/fan, and the fireplace itself. We attached the fireplace to the wall with two simple metal L-brackets so that our grandkids could not accidentally knock the unit out of place during their active play. We also had some extra solid surface from a countertop project, so we attached 5 inch wide sections to the front of the unit - just outside the firebox. It looks like a real stone surround! The operation of the unit is flawless, and from a distance, it looks like realistic flames. The blower fan is fairly quiet and we can easily listen to the TV while the fire is on. We were able to assemble the Gunnison in about 2 hours with some fairly good instructions. I would recommend paying CLOSE attention to the diagrams, especially the differences between the dowels and the screws - we had to re-do one section because we forgot the dowels. The unit was very well packed with protection on the corners ana all sides covered with styrofoam padding. There were a few scratches in the front of the mantle but I anticipate being able to cover them with some furniture "wax pencil." In all, this was an excellent purchase. The Gunnison was more expensive than some other models, but 'you get what you pay for'! ... show more

This is theeee best electric fireplace I have purchased!!! If you’re unsure if you should buy it, just do it. It’s huge and looks like a real fireplace. It’s so beautiful. With a screw gun, I did this by myself in an hour and a half. For the size, there was minimal put together honestly. Anyways buy it! ... show more

The wood is not as barn wood like as I thought and the shelves are cheap material but we probably won’t use them anyway. Otherwise it’s a nice large size and the fireplace without the heat looks nice. It had very good instructions that took my husband about 3 hours to put together. Overall I think it’s a nice addition to our living room. Hopefully the heat works good when winter gets here ... show more

This is exactly what my husband and I wanted. It makes our living room feel so cozy. There was an issue with the mantel having some large defects so we contacted customer support. They were super helpful and took care of the problem without any hesitation. When purchasing something so large and costly it is always a risk if there were anything wrong if the company would stand behind their product. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company for its outstanding customer service! The fireplace came in three boxes and was very easy to assemble. We love that there is hidden storage on both sides of the fireplace. The only downside is that the heating function does not heat our living room as we originally though it would.
